I'd rather it be this way, rather than McGrady destroying the Rockets

Up till Friday, no matter how bad TMac played this season, I never bash him for his poor performance because I still believe in him and I think he just needs more time to recover from whatever reason. But look, now I finally I am just a fool and have been dreaming something will never happen. Since he has quit on us (obviously), I am gonna quit on him as well. Please count me in the anit-TMac club from now on. I am so frustrated I feel like I want to dump him from my fantasy league. And yes, I will start bashing him. If you gonna go down, at least put up a fight, you lazyass!!

This is oh so true. Most people can't believe Tmac would do such a thing because he finally has the teammates he needs to advance deep but the fact of the matter is what you said is absolutely true.

Ouch. Just Ouch. And he's ducking out of the Boston game, too. Before, I would stand up and defend Tracy, but now, I've just given up on him. It really hurts me to say that, but he's gotta step it up.

Just know your personel folks. Folks are thinking about this the wrong way. Just let McGrady rehab for 6-8 weeks. There is enough talent to make the playoffs. Other players can get in a groove with more playing time. If I'm hurt my effort will "appear" to be not there.

Medicine is an inexact science. Just because a doctor says you can play doesn't mean it is true.

i like it, but a simple approach like this doesn't work for everybody.

i say bench artest tmac and battier till they are 100% with out a doubt. Id rather roll in to the play offs 6th 7th or 8th with a team thats 100 % ready to kick some butt, than to make it in at 3rd or 4th with a limping tmac or a swollen up artest. This way tracy cant cry about being injured or not resting enough. the rockets are good so is the west and i feel like we have a great chance of beating any other western team if were 100%.

I don't mind them sitting, but I still feel we need a major trade to get us going again. We really need to dump Rafer, Head, and Hayes. If we have to package them with someone doing well on our team then so be it.

If you're going to move anyone move McGrady. If he's turned into a cancer getting rid of him will be far more beneficial than trying to clear out the role players.

The man had 8 months to rehab(For a loose particle scope!!), what makes you think 6-8 weeks will change the situation? He already took 3 weeks remember? So now by giving him 6-8(+3=11 weeks!)) you're talking almost 3 months on top of the 6 months from the begining of the season!! The way I figure you might as well sit him until he can no longer use the "I came back too soon excuse" essentially you're talking about 3/4 of a year!! For a knee scope!

    I agree 100%!

I was also ticked about T-Mac's lack of effort, but the Toronto game was over before it started. Chances are...with about a minute left in the 3rd, and your team's down 17, many of you guys on this thread are gonna move out the way and not risk getting hurt.

I'm not trying to defend T-Mac, but as a patient of knee surgery, the lingering pain is still there. You can tell just by the way T-Mac's been running up and down the court. And another factor holding him back is MENTAL. Comin back from knee surgery isnt the easiest thing to do.

Lets give the guy some time to gain back some confidence in that knee. Let him take some days off and see what some of our "youngbloodz" can do.

Also...ppl need to LAYOFF Yao for being soft. I think everyone has forgotten that after his toe surgery, he was constantly working and rehabbing to get ready for the Olympics. Once that was done, he had to start getting ready for the NBA season. He's a working machine! He just needs to catch his 2nd wind and he'll fine. He'll finish the season with avgs of 22pts-10rebs-1.5blks. (AND DONT GIMME CRAP ABT HOW THE NBA PLAYERS DID IT (WADE,KOBE,LEBRON)

The issue goes beyond Tmac not being 100% healthy. Also we are not good enough to make the playoffs if Artest, Mac and Battier all miss a significant amount of games. The only solution is to get rid of Tmac.

Tmac is or should I say WAS my favorite player but he's screwing up everything. I feel bad for Artest coming here and being a boyscout and working his ass off to help us advance in the playoffs. I feel bad for Deke coming here when he could have easily signed with the Celtics or Spurs. I feel bad for the fans that actually have an opportunity to go to the games and waste their hard earned money to watch Tmac sulk and half ass it. I feel bad for Les wasting 20 mil a year. The list goes on and on. This is not the first, second or even third time this has happened. I always turned the other way because of my blind love for Tmac's game but no more. Hey Tracy try having some dignity you lazy, overpaid, excuse-making worthless sack.

This would be a pretty damn good line if I were to dump a girl.

The funniest thing will be when McGrady officially surpasses the recovery time for players who have undergone micro-fracture surgery. What can he say when he is out longer than Amare and Oden were? LOL

It's hard when your team leader is a quitter..
Watching Tmac playing is no fun at all.. slow, no energy and can't be dominant anymore.. that's why fan always asking for Dorsey hoping he could be dominant player..or at least something new to watch.

this one made me laugh, who is asking for Dorsey? Something new, ok. something dominant? i don't think so.

How is he doing in the D-League? maybe he can dominate there.
