I would point out that my complaint at the start of this thread -- and it seems to me the crux of many ensuing complaints -- was not about the validity of Justice's claim that retooling was inevitable. My complaint was about his timing. Obviously nothing can be done about the roster during this playoff series -- so why not leave it till the offseason, which likely is not too long to wait anyway? We're in the playoffs for the first time in a long time and all the op-ed writers can't wait for us to exit them again. It's not about being "realistic" but about concentrating about the task at hand. Right now, its the playoffs. Later, it'll be about the offseason.

Not to mention that I also think he's wrong about the performances that Mobley and Cato put on. It's easy for anyone to point to our 4th quarter performance -- as long as you don't mention the fact that the Lakers pretty much had a stranglehold on the game with almost minutes left. The entire Rockets team had pretty much given up at that point. The game was lost at the end of the third and the start of the fourth.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Mobley did little? Then this wannabe journalist says, "How about a defensive stop?"

Mobley got torched in game 2, but in game 1 he played great D on Kobe. Criticism is part of the game but at least give credit when it is due.

<<The two guys who did so little in the two losses in Los Angeles become the two who decide to send some kind of message before Friday's Game 3.

Instead of sending a message, how about grabbing a rebound?

    How about a defensive stop?>>

How do you guys manage to tell the future? Or is it wishful thinking?

I would not mind seeing Francis remain on this team but only as a 2-guard. My only worry is that his defense will suffer some more and his small size will become more of a problem especially in the wild west. Also I don't think he will justify the max contract in a year or two. So that means moving him to a more suitable setting will be the best for him and this team IMO.

Personnel wise this team just does not gell and looks unlikely to do so in this lifetime. So I anticipate a change or at at least a "tweak" sometime after this playoffs.

1 it is not wishful thinking, just reality.

2 SF is not a SG, he is not AI.

    3 tweak? Very big tweakS!
