I have posted last couple of days how watching these playoffs make me appreciate what Brooks does. He is a tremendous shooter and scorer. I am going out on the limb and say, except for DHoward, the Rockets could probably trade Brooks for any other near star Center/PF. Of course, fillers would be needed to be included in such a trade.

Anyways, great accompliment for Mr. Brooks.

Always good to keep our players and franchise in the spotlight. Good for recruiting marquee players in the future.

No one else seems to know how to spell congratulations, so I'll use it.

    Congratulations, Mister Brooks!

Congrats AB! Keep improving! I would love to see you average at least 9 apg to go with at least 22 ppg :)

Are the haters showing love or just being ignorant!

    Congrats AB!!!

Now can someone explain why he deserves this award over Kevin Durant? His scoring went up 5 ppg (less than Brooks), but he led the league in it, led his team (youngest in the league) to the playoffs and 50 wins and morphed into a MVP caliber player.

Move Brooks to the bench. Trade or draft a true point guard. He can become the next Jason Terry or Jamal Crawford, and will win the 6th man of the year next season.

because Brooks' scoring went up more, he does not need "buts'

What's a bigger improvement....going from a good scorer to a MVP type player, or going from 11 a game to 19? As far as their actual game and impact, I don't see how anyone had a bigger leap than Durant this season. His team is in the postseason. The Rockets are at home.

And last year Brooks went from a bench player to the MVP for the Rockets in the playoffs, while the Thunder were sitting at home.

Durant was the #2 pick, Brooks almost a second rounder.

Brooks should buy Yao a dinner and a massage on his foot.

Well deserved. I think this will be the only award no one on clutchfans here will whine about.

    Trade first, ask later.

    No trade, no gain.
