I wouldn't fully agree. The guys we've drafted recently (Ryans, Williams, Okoye, Robinson) have been at least solid starters and at best Pro Bowlers. The problem is we aren't pulling in anyone at all from free agency to balance out the roster. We've landed a few decent guys on offense that are capable starters, but our glaring holes in the secondary (especially safety) have been addressed weakly (low draft picks, bum bench players via trade/FA). We keep bringing in journeymen for OLB, weakside corner, and safety, and it just isn't getting the job done. You're ALWAYS going to be vulnerable to big play letdowns (think about how many we've seen this year) when you don't have capable starters at safety.

Was never qualified to be a defensive coordinator, just like Capers was not qualified to be a Head Coach again, and Casserly to be a General Manager.

But wasn't Casserly the GM in Washington in the 80s?

been on the 'fire smith' bandwagon for almost a full year now. Kubiak has flaws, but the real problem is Smith.

Richard Smith is far and away the best Defensive Coordinator in the NFL.
