Im tired of Soloman he always joins the bandwagon and he overstates things. If the Rockets are good he'll be like daryl Morey is a genius and this is a very promising franchise.if they have a bad year he'll talk so much **** about the team.

If we do end up banning him, we need to make it very clear WHY. It's not because he's saying negative things about the Rockets....it is, after all, a free country, and everybody is entitled to their opinion. The reason why we're banning him is because he's made it painfully obvious that he's only writing these articles to get a stir out of people. There is absolutely ZERO journalistic integrity in any of his pieces. THAT'S why we're banning him.

I to would generally say no to this type of banning but this is different.

I mean who cares if Solomon is negative but for his last four or five articles he has been more than obviously baiting fans of the team to a shameless point now.

 

Who does he have beefs with?

 

He and Morey have gone at it....Solomon is saying that DM is duping the fans by getting them to settle for mediocrity.

Without considering all the injuries and poor attitudes and contracts DM inherited.

Honestly this was not the time for the chronicle or solomon to post that article. We are trying to lure free agents. If a sports writer from our own city bashes the Rockets what incentive would that give Bosh or anyone to come here.

Horrible timing by Solomon. He is a tool and should write/blog for another city.

 

Please ban Solomon articles from this message board. The guy is a disgrace to journalism and the city of Houston. He is the Chron's version of a troll. It's sad really, I've even taken his bait on one of his blog posts myself. There is little knowledge or intellectual intent behind his writing, therefore we shouldn't support it.

I agree - ban his stories. If he wants the true Rockets fans to hear his stories he can be a man and come put it on the line by posting here. Certainly his lack of insight and any meaningful connections to insider information makes him useless as a journalist. I think it's pretty clear his motive is to be as intentionally controversial as possible to get readers to read his otherwise uninspired pieces. Every time someone links to him here, it sends a bunch of traffic to his website which in turn validates his presence on the staff. We have to do a better job of ignoring him if that's the case. Treat him as a troll and ban him.

 

That is a load of BS and you know it. You guys want him banned because your belief in the Rockets is so fragile, you cannot tolerate anything being said or written that upsets your collective state of Rockets xenophobia toward anything that doesn't conform to the company line. I read the article. It was sarcastic, yes, but his sarcasm was understandable. The whole idea of this caravan was ridiculous from the start. It was pure PR.

 

True, Rockets fans had accepted mediocrity long before Morey showed up.
