I really liked what I saw while we were running up & down but I see now that we will have trouble with the NBA powerhouses this season. We don't have anyone that can really make a play or drop the ball into the post for conisitent points. Don't get me wrong Scola is nice but we need a Yao down there and the defense is going to by shotty against those teams that can really put up points.

I'm predicting a season with a lot of losses but tons of excitement in exchange. Still love those Rockets doh! :D

Yeah it reminds me of the South Park episode where Kyle gets the negroplasty.

I agree.. 17 fastbreak points in the 1st quarter was very exciting.

Last night's game convinced me of nothing, but Budinger's stroke is... well a throwback - and I liked it.

Regarding Taylor, he looked like a mess out there, but I saw things in him that I liked. He's not fast, but he's quick and he's cluelessly throwing his body around.

I think these guys are keepers, and I didn't see that coming from Landry 2 years ago. Did you?

Watching Chase live up to the billing last night was exciting. He was great in summer league, tearing up scrimmages in camp, and had Rockets.com drooling over him even before the first preseason game. But most of us had never seen him play. So for him to live up to the hype by going 7/10 was very satisfying. Now I can relate to all the previous articles about him.

I def. saw that coming from Landry and Brooks when they first started. I was angry that it took so long for us to finally take Hayes out of the starting 5 and realize what Scola had to offer.

I remember someone arguing that Ronny Turiaf is better than Landry, I'd like for that convo to come up once again when the season is all said and done.

Just because we dont have the "powerhouse" superstars in our lineup doesnt mean we're going to crap out and be lottery fodder. I was at the game and I see all the scoring to be done by commitee. we had 7 guys with 8 points or more. Rather have that than the mcgrady/yao for 50% of the offense.

I didn't say powerhouse superstars I said powerhouses of the NBA as in the Celts, Fakers, Cavs, Magics, and Sperms. Those are the main contenders for the title this year and its going to be tough when they come rolling along.

To also add, no one said "lottery" you did. A lot of losses doesn't mean you're guaranteed to be a lottery pick, just means you have a good chance. :p

Your not going to be saying that when his career inevitably ends in about a year or so.

I got a harder laugh from this post than the actual joke itself.

[rquoter]When the Rockets ran their offense consistently, moving quickly without the ball and delivering sharp passes, they got good open looks, many by Budinger. When they went one-on-one, they bogged down.[/rquoter]
