I would rather have Carmelo Anthony on our team. Cp3 dominates the ball to much and I dont think it would work with our" offensive scheme"..... I admit it would be interesting if it happens .

Please post the article that states Melo is demanding a trade. Thanks.

I'm not saying that's not a good lineup, it is. What I'm saying is, that is not a contending lineup. We are not deep at the wing. Buddinger starting is servicable, but behind him? Bud is not near the player Martin is (yet) and Taylor is not near as polished a Buddinger. And backing up the 3? With Yao being such a huge question mark and playing limited minutes, this team gets us a 6 seed at best.

On the other hand if you are able to keep Martin in the trade, you have a team that is very difficult to guard. Two borderline all-stars (Scola, Martin), the consumate role player (Battier), a potential MVP candidate running the show (Paul), and the Big Question Mark. I love Buddingers game, but Kevin Martin is a huge upgrade over him.

So do you mortgage your future for a 2 year rental on a team that cannot legitimately contend? Nope.

    * This scenario does not take into account subsequent moves to shore up the wing positions, nor does it account for bringing over more pieces from New Orleans (Posey for example). I would not be mad if they did a trade involving Brooks/Martin and other pieces for Paul, but there had better be some follow-up moves.

At least New Orleans won super bowl this year. Cleveland got nada in over half a century.

    Probably for good reason.

CYA. If that's true, why pursue a player who prefers to play elsewhere? An article largely conceived for filler space.
