50/50. It takes a lot of work but work won't help if you aren't athletically gifted.

Budinger for as much as he is athletically gifted has ugly lateral quickness. I don't know why but either he's just too lazy to work on it or just doesn't have it.

So is it possible that he could be our new Ron Artest?

could be. I don't think his hands are as quick as Ron's on the Defensive side. He's definitely not as strong, or as intensely physical as Ron but I guess time will tell.

I don't know whether your intend your comparison to be pejorative, but it could be taken that way. In any event, please explain how you think Stromile Swift is relevant to the discussion of whether Patrick Patterson can play SF.

Nevermind, I am the dumbass. But Stromile Swift is the biggest dumbass PF in recent Rockets history.

Yea that's pretty much what I meant lol. All that athletic ability and couldn't run with our offense.

    Shortage? What shortage?

    Shane Battier
    Chase Budinger
    Mike Harris

    ^That's not enough forwards?

i thought this was old news that rick needed pat to play the 3 in practice because of injuries.

he said a bunch of times that it was just because they needed someone to play the 3, not that he's any sort of option there moving forward into games that count.

I've seen others (David Aldridge included) say this about him, so it's getting kind of weird that several sports writers are saying he's potentially a SF (in a PF body). I am not convinced he's SF material, but it's plausible that if Battier or CBud are injured and we need size at the 3, he would be called on.

Also A. Johnson. Not so much as shortage in players at the 3, but shortage in star power at the 3. Battier and Chase are good, but Ariza, Melo, Iggy and others would be better. Maybe i'm not saying it right, but you know what i mean.

Cato played more center than power forward. And yes, I think Stromile was dumber.

Joey Dorsey could beat Stromile Swift at chess.

I wouldn't read too much into it. No harm in experimenting a little in practice.

Remember they had Landry play a little SF and got his first start too? So, similar consideration there maybe?
