I wouldn't worry too much about Novak getting enough time. We don't really need him for more than 13-15 mins a night at this point (backing up TMac). He will be a long range shooting specialist like Jon Barry was, and JB got about 15- 18 mins and was no defensive stalwart. As long as Novak is a hard worker, and it sounds ike he is, he improve enough so that he won't be a sieve on defense.

CD and JVG want Novak to play some pf so his shooting can compliment the 111, if he can add 15 lbs yeah he can play some minutes at the 4, with no inkling of his rebounding and defense prowess at the position. However, that will probably decrease his quickness at the 3. There's a reason he slipped to the second round, he's tweener(in a bad way).

He better get strong quick. He can't guard 4's. I don't see Van Gundy playing him if he does not get stronger and becomes a better defender.

All Novak has to do is hit 3's for 10 minutes a game,

He pretty much has to play him though. The Rockets are a great defensive team so Novak's lack of defensive ability can be hidden. Novak's, arguably, already the best shooter on the team.
