[CHRONIC] Do you like Jordan Hill? He could be Morey's price for doing a McGrady deal

Utah has NY's lottery pick this year, when the Phoenix Suns traded Guggs for salary cap relief. Even if Isiah isn't the GM anymore, we might be able to take advantage of them.

That we would be doing New York a huge favor and taking on a hell of a lot of salary.

Wouldn't work Houston would be taking back to much money for them to do the deal and bulls wouldn't be taking back enough.

I like the deal, we get a nice rookie, and an expiring contact. This will allow us to sign our free agents this summer and maybe even manuver under the CAP.

We would, but I think we could move Dalembert this summer. Maybe him and Battier to a team that needs size. I don't know, just proposing things, but I like the trade (why I proposed it ;)).

We could throw a long term deal at New York now that I think about it.

You're going to look real stupid when they turn around this summer (or at next year's deadline) and parlay some current and any acquired assets into a player as good or better than anyone on our roster, depending on Yao's ability when he returns.

There's nothing out there to turn Mcgrady's contract into our next star. The best we can do is add assets and turn around later to find a star...if we can get one player that is young and has potential, like Jordan Hill, I think we take it.

Think Bobby Jackson and the Ron Artest trade. The Jackson trade allowed us to later swoop in and trade for Artest.

The Chronicle really is absolutely worthless. Really, when was the last time they had some interesting inside information that you haven't read somewhere else (days) before?

Almost all their articles on the Rockets are either longbreathed, terribly redundant, outdated or just flat out boring.

    These guys are horrible.

    End of rant.

You have chicago sending out 17 mil and only getting back 10 mil.

The rockets who want to get under the cap taking on an extra 4-5 mil. which realistically would be 8-10 mil with luxury tax.

You could do Hill, Mobley, and Darko for McGrady. It would be interesting to see if RA could get anything out of Darko.

That doesn't even happen without the Donte Greene draft pick.

If the Rockets want to pull another trade like that, they will need another draft pick.

Bobby Jackson? Seriously. T-Mac's contract is already cap friendly. Getting other expiring contracts from NY is just going in circles.

I think I could get used to Landry/Hill at the 4.

NY didn't get the message. This year, they are giving their 1st round pick to the Jazz. If they don't want to trade their 2012 or later pick, then the Rockets should at least get the ability to swap draft positions for 2012-2014.

No. I have seen enough of Hill to be convinced he is going to be very averrage. He is neither exceptionally strong nor exceptionally quick for his size. He has no chance to dominate. The only way I want him is to flip him to another team in a 3-way to get back serious talent, say flip him along with NY's expirings and Brian Cook to GS for Randolph, Ellis, and Biedrins.
