You can't absolve JVG's responsibility to allow Chuck and Luther to slack off on working on their height. Almost two years under JVG and these two are still undersized.

Yeah right, JVG can do no wrong, even when one of his starters has serious flaw in his game and has not improved for almost two seasons.

    "Juvenile and nutty"

Very nice, apostolic3. Shall I dig out one of your old posts in which you cried foul over "name calling"?

JVG is an X and O's coach, not a shot doctor. Chuck Hayes needs to work on his shooting form with one of the assistant coaches, on his own, or consult a shot doctor.

Is JVG the head coach or not?

Excuse such as yours is about as valid as that Enron's CEO and President had no direct involvement in their company's book cooking.

wnes, as you can see from everyone else's reaction (not just mine), you are up a creek on this one. You should have let it die. Chuck was a scrub last year. JVG has had one full season with him. Shooting is something learned by repetition and hard work BY THE PLAYER. Coaches do not create shooters. If you can't see how off-road your notion is on this point then just stay out alone on the boat.

I never said or implied JVG could do no wrong and have criticized him plenty and strategy and offense. Of course when you run out of things to say, just accuse people of believing JVG can do no wrong to distract from the issue at hand.

This crazy stuff where he's to blame for everything is indeed "juvenile and nutty". If I EVER say something as off the wall as this and act like I expect someone to agree with me, feel free to call it as such.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you are/ were an NBA head coach....

I'm glad you have finally realized JVG as the head coach also...so that means it's gotten thought your thick skull that JVG isn't responsible for Hayes ugly shot, nor can he drop everything and make Hayes' shot his sole pet project.

YOur Enron comparison is r****ded, if I wanted to make sure a theft was succesful and no one knows about it, yeah I'd be directly hands on....what on earth does that have to do with JVG not being Hayes' personal shot doctor (because he has a whole team to run).

What a ridiculous analogy. You're comparing illegal activity to not improving Chuck's shooting. Just stop.

It's not the head coach's responsibility to develop every detail of a player's skill set. There isn't a coach in the league who does that. Are you blaming Avery Johnson for allowing Dsagana Diop to shoot pitifully from the free throw line the last few seasons? I already mentioned Shaq's woeful free throw shooting -- a problem which hurt the Lakers far more than Chuck's shooting would hurt the Rockets.
