If Yao has played last game, I wonder if Tracy would have. I think it's McGrady's penchant not to play but I'm sure he knows he only has so much rope before he hangs himself, as far as fans and management are concerned.

Standing on the floor does not constitute playing.

That is a horrible exaggeration! He didn't just stand. He called for the ball. He took some fade aways. He waved his hand by his man when he was beaten on the dribble.

You can't call that standing around.

Whoa... what's going on here guys.

I am not T-Mac, so I don't know how he really feels. But still, I would give him the benefit of the doubt that he is really injured.

Is he actually lazy and has no heart as some of you say? Was he just standing around in the last game because he was lazy or because he was really injured?

Was he really injured but yet still tried to come to play? If he put the effort despite his injury, can we call him T-Maclazy and T-Macnoheart?

It's very easy to say something out from our mouth without really knowing well what's happening, isn't it. That's the beauty of anonimous posters in the Internet.

The fact is if he is really injured, we just can't call him lazy or has no heart. If the man is really injured, what do we expect him to do. Risk his career by dunking everytime with his injured knee? Running faster than Aaron Brooks? He is injury prone, and if that dissapoints you, so be it. But do not call him something that he is not. Why don't we give him the benefit of the doubt that he is really injured.

Well, not injured but not fully healed. That's it. The knee is still bothering him but not as much as many of people here thing.

If he wans to attack he will. It is all in his head. The knee will get better, he just needs to go throught that now.

It's not. T-Mac has proved to us so many times that he is injury prone. So we should never expect him to play 82 games. I would not expect Yao to play 82 games either since he has also proved that he is injury prone.

So either we can live with the fact that T-Mac and Yao each may skip 20 games a season due to injury, or we just rebuild. There's no point to second guess the extent of T-Mac's injury or pain.

I hope the rest will give Yao the energy back we need to hit the Wizards with the stick. They don't even know what hit them !! Let's just hope he will stay injury free from now on, if Yao is out even for a few weeks, we're doomed. Yao is our Olajuwon, our Goliath, our Spiritual leader, now all he needs to do is become the vocal leader and demand more touches. This is Yao's team !!

    This is the update one.

    Yao says he's '100 percent'
By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle
    Nov. 21, 2008, 12:04PM

WASHINGTON — As expected, Yao Ming went through Friday’s morning shootaround and declared that he was ready to play tonight against the Washington Wizards.

Nearly as predictable, he revealed himself to be weary of the subject of his sore left foot.

"I’m 100 percent," Yao said. "I don’t want to think about it; just play the basketball game. I’ll keep that in the memory, not the injuries."

Asked if he was concerned that there could be a repeat of this week’s issues, in which he left Monday’s game grimacing and was held out of Wednesday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Yao said he would not even consider that possibility.

"Don’t even worry about it," he said. "I’m 100 percent."

Yao had undergone X-rays and a bone scan after leaving Monday’s win in Oklahoma City and was told that there was no structural damage and that the screw placed inside his foot after his stress fracture last February was still in place.

He did not play on Wednesday while doctors took another day to consider their conclusions and to allow additional specialists to examine the test results.

Rockets athletic trainer Keith Jones said on Thursday that reason for concern that had not been uncovered before were found, Yao would be "good to go."

On Friday, he said no such red flags were raised and that Yao would play tonight.

Wow, I am speechless about what is about Tmac in this thread. Does the guy really deserve that much criticism? We know both Yao and Tmac are having injury issue. I love Yao. But I also know Tmac is the one who's hanging tough to try to play the injury for the team.

I have a screw in my foot. It hurts from time to time. It hurt more when I played the first year after it got put in. Not that I've gone through the stresses of what Yao did..but just saying, there will be more/different pain than he's used to over the course of time. He'll get used to what is 'normal'
