yao just tells the truth, nobody knows what will happen in the future.as far as i'm concerned, ibelieve the team will have a great chemical reaction. go,rockets!
There is no telling what Yao really said to Blindberry. I honestly hate this guy, he should be fired from Chron.
Yao's quotes are what Yao said. I dont think Blindberry made that up. The trick was Blindberry asked questions and those quotes were Yao's answers. So, Blindberry could bring up the brawl. Scola was very smart at answering Blindberry's questions.
I think Richard Justice got a hold of Yao Ming..... But seriously, Yao Ming is just being cautious about all possibilities Artest brings to the Rockets. Most importantly Yao, is being a leader of his team. He doesn't want to mess up a good thing. Kind of like Scola said, if it would not have been for the injuries, then there was no telling how good the Rockets could have been. Who knows, maybe they would already have won a championship, but how could you even expect that without a healthy Yao Ming? In Yao Ming's Mind, it's a thing that if Ron Artest comes in and messes up the positive Chemistry, then you get rid of him. What's wrong with that attitude? And it's good that Yao is thinking that way. If Artest loses respect for the Yao/McGrady leadership, then Artest could go haywire. As it is right now McGrady, is acting like a fan. Yao is acting like the team leader - with reservations, which is justified in my opinion.
I bet Yao still doesn't know how blown out of proportions his comments have turned out to be now. Someone needs to post the artest interview to some chinese forums so yao might see it. Where's pryuen when you need him? we´ve already done this. hope Yao will read it. .
I know that Yao is a realist and he is a smart guy. He knows how to communicate with each teammates. I do believe this trade will be successful but just need some time.
Anyway YAO' worries is understandable,he was just more sane and less optimistic than Tracy, you know,he and Tracy have never won any series in the playoffs.Health was always their biggest obstacle that prevent them from passing the first round. So i think the medias shouldn't have been so spoffish to Yao's worries.Yao is a friendly man,and he will call Artest and say "welcome" to him.
To me Yao's concerns are a good sign. He is showing his leadership in being concerned about drastic things that happen with this tight nit team. His pot-shoting of Artest was just in fun imo. He knows Artest can play but whether Artest can keep his feet on the ground, and mesh with 2 all-stars is yet to be determined. I'm straight siked about Artest coming to Houston. I don't see him being a detriment to the team. He'll be the complete opposite.
