Closest I can remember is Kevin McHale. Back in 86, 87, or some such year, McHale was in the top-ten of both FG and FT percentage. Man he was a fun player to watch (when he wasn't playing the Rox, that is).
Nice article. The article states that only Yao is top 10 in all 3 categories. A guy that plays on the T-Wolves seems to be as well. It is really irrelevant.......stupid little things like that just bother me for some reason. I think that Yao will be able to stay top 10 in rebounding and FG%(and will have more blocks). I have serious doubts about scoring avg. There are just too many players that avg more than 22+
article said noone else was in the top ten in all three categories, but i think Zach Randolph made it
Thanks.....my irritation level just doubled. I enjoyed the article. But...why do these writers just make crap up? Do they think that absolutely no one but them has access to NBA stats? I am not so much complaining about this article. I just seem to have seen some really bad fabricated crap nation wide in the last few weeks. OK Now I am just ranting. Guess I'll go now...
Maybe the stats changed over night. You can't asume he didn't look up stats or he wouldn't have talked about. Or maybe he had bad stats who knows. But asuming he did no resurch is insain
Relax, guys ... This is just the preseason. The real thing won't start till next Thursday. It would be wise to be a little conservative right now, would it not?
no, it wouldn't. If the team can look as good as they have the last two games, just imagine what they will be like when we get everyon back from injury. things are looking bright in Rocketland.
i agree 100%. It's great Yao is playing so well, but it's only the preseason. Look at a lot of the other guys on those lists and where they are and also consider all the names missing. I think Yao can have a monster year, but let's not put too much into the preseason.
Man, the optimism in here is blinding! I'm excited too, but you guys are talking about Yao leading the league in this or that? Uhh... we'll see. As for us beating the Lakers... Well, it'd be great to see, and I suppose it's possible, but to make predictions in the preseason like that worries me. Their lineup is one of the scariest in history. Sure the Rockets are gonna be pretty good. But come on, don't you people live in HOUSTON? Haven't you developed a steely pessimism towards this city's professional sports teams yet? I'd advise you to do so soon, or at least stock up on heart pills.
I would love that. But even 17ppg would be great, after everything settles down throughout the season.
Amare? Is that the guy who almost had a triple-triple against Portland a couple days ago? 22pts, 9 RBs, 9TOs Oh.. never mind...
