this really puts pressure on the Rox to know make a move for a Center.....He has no set time to return......"NOT GOOD".......ankle sprain my ASS
Adelman expierenced the Webber fiasco in Sacramento. Webber cameback way, way to early and was playing inconsistent and it pretty much destroyed their whole mojo. Thats why he was adamant McGrady should stay away and i suspect the same now with Yao.
I don't think its that big a deal, they are being cautious, the team is actually starting to play well again, I don't think this is a big issue.
I'm leaning your way. Yao will probably blow up the Rockets developing chemistry if he came back. But I still have some hope left he can play 40-50 games. The hoping is fading more each day.
The last thing you want to do returning from a foot surgery is to play with another foot related injury. If having Yao 25+ minutes a game for the next 5 years means sitting him the majority of this season, then I'm all for it. Let's just hope he gets a contract that reflects a player that does not play starter's minutes.
When Tmac went down, the offense was starting to click and Rick decided The Rockets were better off without him, now that Yao is out, Rockets are on there hottest streak of the season, now Rick is doing the same thing with Yao??????
It is not him it is the organization, Yao would be playing and honestly, he should be playing....that is the best way to strenthen the muscles...by, you know..actually USING them. Big Z didn't have to strengthen his muscles......this just reads like Rick doesn't want him back with limitations. DD
I have no expectations with Yao this season, unlike you guys keep hanging on to the daily update. When he was playing with the minute restrictions, it was hard to watch. We can safely say that this season is full of the unknowns, I was happy that Yao had returned to the court but I know it would be foolish to dream big this season.
So you think RA is just trying to keep Yao down? And it has nothing to do with his actual injury? Bless your heart...
I agree with you... in the beginning of the season with Yao in and out of the lineup, we had no continuity. It'll be much easier to integrate Brooks back into the rotation rather than Yao. Why put the team and Yao back in position to only play half the time. Better idea to hold him out until he's ready to play in back to backs and able to play without minute restrictions.
I think this is the McGrady rule in action. On this team, you never, ever say when you are coming back from injury without talking to coach first.
It appears that Yao put his foot in his mouth. This does seem oddly reminiscent of what happened last year with McGrady.
It's time to move on, the guy is going to be gone almost 8 weeks by the time this is done...if it's every done. If this is a move by Adelman/Morey to bring him back at full strength and avoid chemistry issues then so be it but if those limitations are still there when he returns then he maybe hurting the team more then helping. Not saying trade the guy because there is no market, RIGHT NOW, but counting on him to help shouldn't be an option. If he returns, great, but if not then move on and start making moves as if he isn't going to be here,
Exactly. Voice of reason (this time ) together with DD among many knee-jerkers. Relax. We have an easy stretch, why risk him. I just think the communication by the Rockets is weird. If the idea is to strengthen his leg, they should not communicate that he "doesn't practice". I am sure he does practice, he just doesn't play with full contact. I expect him to be back in January, until then, he will do special exercise to strengthen his leg and regain his stamina.
