Can't we just hop Yao up on cortisone or morphine and let him rest after our season is over?

and just a heads up, last yr when tmac and landry had their knee bruises, the medical staff listed them "day-to-day" also for an eternity.

hopefully the team can get more tests done and get a definitive timetable on when yao can return.

I feel like I'm some radical for holding this opinion, but this is what I think is going to happen:
Yao will sit out the last two games of the season.
He'll come back for Game 1 and be fine through the playoffs.

I don't trust Keith Jones, he has been borderline incompetent handling the Mcgrady situation and Yao last year.

Paul Pierce played through a bone bruise in last finals, and he won the MVP.

I believe Yao will play through it during this playoffs. He is a warrior!

CHILLAX! Most likely, they are resting Yao on the second half of a back to back against a horrible and shorthanded Warriors team. They had to list something on the injury report. If he plays against the Hornets then there is nothing to worry about. If he sits out against New Orleans, then he might actually be hurt.

Well, I blame landry, if he wasnt with that chick at early morning, Yao shouldnt have played so many mins.

Are we going to go through this every season? Yao needs to play these last two games so that we can get the 2nd or 3rd seed so we can hopefully play the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. We need these games and now we're just hoping he can play in the playoffs? Ah, so tiring.

I honestly just hope he plays and go from there. It could be the difference between 2nd round and Conference Finals.

Then again, if he is actually hurt by these last two games, what's the point?

    I'm really sick of this...

There just isn't enough pessimism around here.

You know that peak Tracy McGrady hit a couple of years ago, where the injuries from unavoidable wear and tear started to make him never the same player again?

Yao is less than two years from that point.

Those of you who wish we'd traded McGrady before he hit that point and lost his value -- would you trade Yao now? No, it ain't happening, but still: Would you?

you people are so ****ing stupid.

nearly all good teams find rest for their starters before playoffs. look at garnett

they have to come up with an injury. you just can't say that he is resting.

    bunch of over reactors!

u do know they can "just rest" their players right? they don't need to come up with an injury excuse to rest their players.

It all depends on where the bone bruise and how large it is. A bone bruise near the knee hurts a lot more than one at the ankle. There are numerous bones at the ankle, too, so hopefully it is one that is not in contact with a joint or rubbed on by a ligament.

Joking about such things is bad juju. We have had more than our share of terrible luck in the past and don't need any "assistance" from you, with all due respect. If you were attempting to be funny, you need to go back to school.
