Maybe yao just thought of his history in CBA.
He could say he was Abama in the CBA ,too.He had so high milestone in CBA.
    No problem.

D-Howard cant compare with Shaq or Yao.
Because howard is lacking of fighting one -on-one.

The poster is clearly not a native English speaker, cut him some slack.

    ..... and apparently you.

Yao is generous in praise and those guys can only respect him more. I can see Shaq being a huge Yao fan once he retires from NBA and maybe joins bspn which would be quite unshaq like. Looking forward to the matchup.

they dont look alike? we are talking about stan and JVG right? how do they night look alike? balding/dark hair, fair skin, similar heights and weights. Ok so they aren't twins. they are both angry looking coaches that havent won anything. pretty similar if you ask me

    Screw that Yao.

Yao should have said "I'm the best Center and i'm going to prove you on Tuesday."

Yao made nearly 80% of his free throws in CBA, Howard barely scratches 60% in the NBA.

Amazed at how many people were actually offended by this. Shaq was probably lampooning not the Chinese themselves, but the old Chinese martial arts movies that had horrible dubbing issues. I guess those were offended weren't aware of how their movies looked after they got imported to the States and thought Shaq was just being racist lol.

If this was a one time thing that never happened before then yeah, I could find the humor in that.

That's why many of the Chinese in China didn't find this offensive---because this was the first time they witnessed it.

But to the Asians in America, this is a constant thing that happens to them and it's usually accompanied by more insults. So this type of "humor" is often associated with disrespect and perhaps even violence.

Of course I don't think that Shaq is racist, but that his actions were very ignorant.
