I didnt see this posted anywhere; I apologize if it was. However, in the same Rockets notes section today, Francis stated that he would welcome a move to 2 guard. As Wrath of Khan pointed out, it wouldnt necessarily take Francis long to get over Cuttino getting dealt. Open to switch Rockets guard Steve Francis said as much as he would love to play shooting guard in the All-Star Game to fit with the Western Conference's deep collection of point guards, he would not be opposed to making a living at the position. "I would love to," Francis said. "But it's a situation with our team, we have so many good players. The shooting guard on our team (Cuttino Mobley) is going a good job. But I would love it." But Francis did not agree with he notion he is not a natural playmaker. "The guys you guys say are big assists guys I'm right behind them, and they shoot as much as I do," he said.
LOL! Not only does he play like Shaq (i.e., power and dunks only), but he even gives quotes like Shaq too Since when did they stop teaching kids what a "rhetorical question" was in high school (BTW this is just a rhetorical question; you don't have to answer)?
You know, Phoenix started winning more games when they moved Stephon off the ball (OK, OK, Amare had something to do with it, too). Be careful what you wish for, Steve.
I wish Steve would see "playoffs". Kind of hard to win championships when you can't get in the playoffs.
