Someone should send Bosh the video of Yao rehabbing. I think that will convince him to come to Houston.
I'm happy for Yao, but after all of the injuries the Rockets have gone through this past decade, I won't believe anything until I see the players play a few games on court.
Awesome news to hear, maybe he can go attend that Wade, Bosh, LeBron, and JJ meeting to convince one to come to Houston!
This is a VERY good sign. I don't know why he can't come back to all star form if his bone heals properly. We've got some exciting moments ahead of us!
Out of all the information about this, the most encouraging is that he is "pain free"..... Big Z said it took him a while to get to that point, and if Yao is already there, then that is HUGE news. DD
Interesting, I know there's a clause in his contract that he must play for China in FIBa and the olympics, perhaps you're correct and they're preventing him from playing in China this year and are gonna try to renegotiate that part of the contract after his current one expires.
And honestly no free agent is going to want to play with Yao right now, he is just too much of a health risk. DD
i can't deny the fact you said. what's amazing me or everyone here is morey's capabilities to pull sth out from nothing. can you deny this fact? i guess morey will use millions of #s and equations to convince bosh, more precisely speaking, confuse bosh to believe there is a healthy yao waiting for him. by the time bosh takes everything morey says, his brain is pretty much dead.
If Yao is healthy all year, I think we can contend for home court advantage in the west, 1-4 seed. I really like how are starting lineup is looking for next year: Brooks Martin Ariza Scola Yao
It is all about money, this is completely different, I am sure that Gortat like Morey last year, but he took the bigger $$$$. For Bosh, it will be the same...any free agent....and they will collude. I think DM can convince a GM, I am NOT convinced that we will be able to get a top tiered free agent because IMO, they will be worried about Yao's health and the team long term. DD
i was joking around. absolutely agree with you. honestly, i see 0% chance to get bosh. the best scenerio for rox is to hope yao picks up his option so rox has one year to figure out his body condition before handing over a long term max contract. if he decides not to pick up his option, rox has a very very very tough decision to make. give him the max? it can hurt rox very badly in 4 or 5 years if he gets injury again. morey will have tough time to manage a winning team when the relative cap space is much smaller than other teams due to the money tied to a retired yao let him walk away? all of our investment is washed away if he somehow, like big-z, plays a few more year healthly at high level. a yaoless rox most likely goes into a rebuilding mode and watches other teams taking advantage of having a relative healthy yao on their team. i don't know which case is more possible than the other. to me, it's 50/50 so it's very tough decision for rox to make if yao declines his option. but remember decision making does always have risk. as fans, it's easy to say since they don't take any responsibility and any blame if the decision becomes bad. GM and owner can't say it's fans's decision. instead, the public will remember GM and ower forever due to the contract size and yao's status.
Does anyone know when Yao's next scheduled hurdle is? When is his next doctors visit or deadline I guess is what I am asking.
