The Coaching staff sees Steve Every day. And if their judgment says that Stawberry is better than a healthy Steve, then that's it. We must accept moving on.

Because, as a Rocket fan the goal is a Championship and whoever pushes the team for that must make the Roster.

Steve knows that as well. And every hall of famer that has been pushed aside for retirement acknowledges that concept of pro sport.

It's a young talented guys game!!!

Man it would be so sweet if francis gets cut. Would finally be morey admitting he made a mistake by signing francis in the first place.

if grant hill can come back and contribute, if penny hardaway can come back and contribute, if alonzo can come back and play, then hell stevie isnt dont, not by a long shot.

i hope and pray it can be in a rockets jersey, but if its not, another team can use him. hes 31. thirty one. three one.

I like stevie not because he is Yao's best friend and teammate, but because his heart and loyalty to Houston. no matter what happens, I still believe in him, stevie, stand up and play! Bring Houson a third champion, right this year!

If they would go for it (doubtful), could strategically have Strawberry or Wafer in an overseas league, give the Francis thing time to develop. And if it doesnt, give one of them a midseason call like the Mike Harris call up last season. Not looking good for Francis with a week left though...

he will get his chance but the probability is very slim. The question then is whether his contract can be traded. It's like a paradox.

If he does well and can contribute, we should keep him but if he does bad, who's going to want his contract? remember our goal is to get under luxury tax, not get another player in return. We might have to give up some valuable assets included with Francis or give up draft picks to unload his salary.

The best scenario is if he steps up and contribute to our championship run.

It's over for him. The only reason he is still on the roster is because of his name. We should waive him and clear up a roster spot for Wafer or Strawberry. At least either player will be an able body to put on the floor.

There's nothing to gain from this financially so might as well take the L on this one and at the very least try to make the best of it with Wafer or Strawberry.

if this happens to Head, then he will get cut

So sad to see the player who was known as Franchise and been a fans favorite, to become like this. I believe he can make the team and contribute.

i'm glad your not the gm. you do know that wafer and strawberry are career nba scrubs. (von wafer career 23% fg, strawberry .315% fg) if they improved, that's great but they wont contribute much to our season regardless. if they make the team, they will be inactive unless injuries arise.

As of now Steve Francis is also nothing more than a scrub himself. Make matters worse an injured scrub coming off surgery and whose career was in jeopardy not long ago.

We know both players won't do anything significant, but its better than the nothing we will get out of Francis. If someone gets hurt, you at least have somebody that can go out there and allow another player a few minutes rest.

We should all wait and see Steve Play to determine where he is at. We can't rely on the opinions of the local paper to determine Steve's status. If he is indeed done then why did coach Turner who was mind you a NBA pro for years say that he could not even make a judgement yet. Cutting Steve is ridiculous, trading Steve if does not pan out is a better option. However I have a feeling that Steve is going to prove a lot of doubters wrong in the end

I think Francis will make it. He said his knee is fine.

When did they say that Strawberry is better than a healthy Steve? Actually, the article says that if Steve is healthy, he is in their plans.

It'd be bad if they cut him. I mean even injured he's more contributing than Luther Head.

No hating I like Luther but I think he also needs to prove himself.
