    Stevie Stevie Stevie....

Honestly I think he's done, Strawberry would be better with his size and defense. We have enough firepower, we just need the facilitators, and Stevie isn't a facilitator.

Amazing how everyone hates Fran . . .until he writes about hating on Steve
then they love him and he can tell no wrong. . .

    Strange ain't it

You should already be at TC!

On a serious note... if Francis gets cut a little piece of me will die.

he's the 14th man on this roster...sucks to cut him because we all know how 'talented' he was...

Last year when he played significant time, outside of the Pheonix game, Houston looked its worse [and don't bring up individual stats, the team played awful]. There is no room for him on this team.

Let's be honest Francis was the little source of hope during the pinstripe horror years along with Yao. Now he has been with a couple of teams and lost his step. The most he could do now with our team is be a role player that would play about 10 minutes a game, if he's lucky. I love Francis but I think Strawberry and Wafer have potential and are not injury prone.

Thanks Fran for clearing up the "difference" of opinions. Sounds more like different conversations.

I wouldn't write his epitaph just yet.

Doesn't seem the Rockets are either.

I am hoping Francis can shrug of the cold and particpate more in practice. Artest and Rafer are rooting for him and so am I. Making a come back is tough ask Darius Miles. I think the fact that Strawberry and Wafer are both playing well would scare Francis cause they are supposed to be playing for one roster spot not two. Morey has been good so far lets see what he does with this tough conundrum

Im speechles, I was looking foward to see Steve out there this season, when he's out there I get this old feeling in my stomach. I cant explain it, but its just one of those feel good feelings u get as die hard fan. I wish they would atleast let SF3 play one preseaon game at 20+ mins, I think he needs some good floor time to see if he still has it. I dont know ne teams in the league that fear our pg's, Steve is the only one that could give alot of PG in the league a problem . Rafer,Head and Brooks will get owned by guys like Nash,Paul,D. Williams and some of the other elite PG's in the league. I just think we shouldnt give up on the Franchise just yet.

Steve will play this year. This is supposed to be a perfect season and it can't be without him.

The only way they will cut Stevie is if they feel he has to retire for physical reasons.. In that case, his salary does not count against the salary cap. My opinion is that you guy are over-reacting to this article. His return to practice has been delayed so far by 2 freeking days due to illness.. Big deal. The Rockets are not counting on him at the beginning of the year anyway.

if the rockets management trades/cuts francis, that would be very "unclassy" of them. the guy signed with the rockets last year for only about 2m when he couldve gotten more from other teams. francis has been very loyal to houston despite him getting traded out of town. it would be a PR nightmare to treat a loyal player like him who has a very good fan base.

it'll be like the way they handled letting go of jvg last year. im sure they wont make that kind of mistake twice.theyd probably gonna let francis finish his contract this year and see if he gets back to form. if he does, he'd probably get another extension (vet min probably), and trade AB/Head for a pick hoping to snag a good PG in the draft.

Not really unless they agreed to a buyout of some sort.
