LOL - Now come on.....I asked if Lidge could start, not that he should be our 4th starter.

    Stop making stuff up.

OK, you wanted him to be a 5th starter then.

LOL, there's not much between the second or third option and the 9th option? ?

    Ha ha ha ha ha.

In NJ, the 2nd-3 option, is Jason Kidd (future HOF) and Richard Jefferson (all star). The 9th -10th men are Nachbar and Mikki Moore.

In Houston, the 2nd-3rd option is Tracy and Battier. The 10th option is Scott Padgett.

That's a pretty wide gulf. It's the freaking gulf of Mexico.

Get some time? Please - he got time in NO and played as well as he could - then they dropped him as a salary dump throw in to NJ - where he has also sucked.

Uh, no he's not in the rotation, he has put up 1 and 0 minutes in his last two games. Rookies Marcus Williams and Antoine Wright are in the Rotation. Even rookie Hassan Adams still get some minutes. Nachbar? Not good enough to play (as his numbers show).............again.

LOL, you whined and b****ed and moaned forever about how he was a slasher and needed to be in a motion offense and how JVG was ruining hm and not playing him - then guess what: he goes to two motion offense teams and still sucks, save for the one magical stretch in which he managed 7 ppg as a backup on the worst team in basketball playing perpetual garbage time.

He would be as useful in Houston as he is anywhere else: which is to say: not at all.

Has one player caused so much division and fractionation among a city? This board is a microcosm. I can see family, friends, and fans arguing over VY all over Houston.

I love it! It's a civil war!! Are you columbia blue or no one cares outside of Harris County blue?

    Go Tennessee Titans!!!

This is the nightmare a few of us were talking about back then. Not to say, "I told you so!!!" But part of my reason was, from a business perspective, avoiding the absolute worst case scenario....losing or fractionalizing the city for a franchise that's still trying to develop real roots and identity. I remember my business partner saying, "Look..there's no way they won't draft VY. McNair is too smart to let that opportunity pass him by...or to let the worst case scenario take place." People said VY didn't have that kind of grip on the Houston sports market. He does. Even though he's playing elsewhere, he still does. It's just a huge opportunity lost, in my view. An opportunity to seize interest here in Houston and across the state. It's tracking the other direction right now.

They'll all come running back when they're winning.

    Thank you, Mr Grim Reaper.

When the Texans start winning, no one will care who is playing QB.

I'm glad I will be back in Houston for this matchup. Sure, the Texans will gain fans when they start winning (every team does) but it will not change the fact that the home field advantage is questionable vs. the Titans. Has this ever happened? It's crazy.

I think it is being overestimated. If there are more Titans fans or a 50/50 split, it is going to make Houston look bad. It will be 60/40 in favor of the Texans at worst.

Who cares. I remember all the bandwagon fans showing up when the Astros were mediocre during Atlanta Braves games. I felt like I was in Atlanta. That all changed when the Astros went to the World Series.

I wish VY was our QB, but you know, he's not...I want us to kick the crap out of the Titans...Not because of VY, but because the Oilers left Houston...I root for them, unless they play the Texans or Cowboys...

    Go Texans!!!

I still can't fathom how anyone still living in Housotn can cheer for the Titans. If you were a real Oilers fan, then the day Bud took them out of town they became the enemy on the same level as the Cowboys.

This pretty much sums it up. I remember making the argument that they are losing out on gaining markets like SA, Austin, etc. All the local Houstonians didn't give a **** about this. Very shortsighted for an EXPANSION franchise. I hate to say it but I think they are becoming the Texas Rangers ( orTampa Bay Devil Rays  ) of the NFL. Just one of those teams nobody cares about except the locals, and a lot of them could careless as well.

Maybe with Atlanta but I'm sure you have been there when the Cubs come to town. No? There are cubs fans all over the place.

Thurman Thomas was from Willowridge HS. Why weren't all the Oilers fans jumping ship to be Bills fans? Keenan McCardell is a Houstonian, where is the love for the Chargers? Face it Longhorn faithful, VY is a Titan. He doesn't play in Texas anymore. He is the enemy now. Deal with it.

I love this way of thinking. Everyone who doesn't think like me isn't a "real fan."

    Give me a break.

Either you pick a team or your a flip flopper. Either your a Texans fan or a Titans fan. Be a flip flopper. I picked the Rams back in 1998 and I'm sticking with them.

Since you have bandwagon syndrome you should probably move to Dallas to be among the best.
