I dont know why everyone has give up on Reese Gaines so quickly. If you guys are looking for a tall pg then we already got one. Plus I would rather have Gaines starting then him. I dont know what the infatuation with young euro players are these days. Just because the Spurs got lucky twice doesnt mean we will too.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that he couldn't off the bench last year. I'm not saying he sux, I'm actually hoping he can become the steal in this trade but he's number 4 on the dept charts for PGs on the team right now...

First, we did not draft him. Dallas did and we switched picks. Semantics

The likes of Sarunas like it in Europe. He is comfortable and under fairly lucrative contract. Remember not all good European or South American basketball players wants to play in the NBA. It is indeed a dream for most but some still like their European ways.

Also Sarunas is under contract now with his club. This means that you would have to do a contract buy out. We have needs on this club that we can better spen our money on. Moreso, how well do you think he will fair in the NBA atmosphere?

Heck we already have a Sarunas-like player in Eric Piatkowski. But we are now using him as trade bait for Mutombo or Elden Cambell. You see what I mean? What evexactly can Sarunas do that Eric can't do? There are other 29 or so NBA teams out there.....so why haven't they taken the plunged into the Sarunas or other outstanding players in Europe sweepstakes?

The moral of all of this is that even when it looks like a no brainer to us - it may not really be. The world does not necessarily revolve around us or our heart desires.
