that just further proves that jvg refuses to develop rookies, which is an integral part of coaching and helping your team grow (i.e. larry brown and greg popovich). play the current best players and keep your future on the bench until he can teach himself how to play. that is a good philosophy.

Real men would have gotten us a lot more for Gay and Swift, or they could have shipped Juwan out, kept SS, and still improved our team +/- tremendously. We could have gotten Memphis's #24 and either gotten an asset to trade or turned it into a draft pick for next year.

Battier is a good 6/7th man right now but he is not starting material for a championship team and he was too little to receive in return for our two players.

Noteworthy that absolutely no rumors or stories have floated out about Gay that would justify giving up on him so totally that we trade him for a 6th man who has lost a step and a jump and will lose more over the next 4 contract years....

Is there any way to confirm this value?? I'm not doubting anything you say, but if this is common knowledge kinda stuff, I'm even more confused....
