    If NBA rules does not allow freedom of speech, cannot it be sued?

    No. Private entities -- such as the NBA, NFL, MLB etc -- can pretty much get away with anything...not everything, but most things.

    They get away with banning 18 year olds from getting jobs in the NBA (as in a team) on the basis that they might not be 'mature' enough.
