Yeah he was there. He just didn't dress out. If Rockets don't make a move, I think it's safe to say that he won't be playing for the rest of the season.
Well if hes active against the cavs then he'll probably be traded. Its a trend, taylor got pt then gets traded. Same thing with dorsey last year
I still think T-Will is a PG. just a very large one. I would really like to see him out there on the floor with Lee and Martin and see how that combo would work out.
I agree that he has pg skills, but i think he turns the ball over way too much to play the point. He can't shoot, so he's not a good fit at the 2. I think his future is at the 3. At 6'6" it's not ideal, but he's athletic enough to overcome the height issue.
Since I don't believe we will trade T-Will, after the trade deadline, it will be almost as if we just traded for him now instead of back in December. I look forward to watching him come off the bench for the Rockets after this Thursday. Of course, I'm assuming that any deals we do make, will immediately make room for him in the rotation. Battier or Lee being traded would almost guarantee it.
Agreed. I know Twill has the potential and talents. He has the highest ceiling compared to everyone else on this team. His ability to handle the ball, score, distribution, athleticism, and good size, he will be a very good player in this league. But he's not going to reach his full potential sitting there watching the game from the bench. He needs playing time. I think establishing our young players is just as important as winning right now. Hopefully after the trading deadline, Lee or Bud and Battier get shipped out so that will give Twill an opportunity to shine. Because it is frustrating that you have a young promising player sitting on your bench watching the game instead of playing.
Most young players can't shoot well. He's a slasher. But with time and proper training, he will develop that shot. Look at Dwade, he doesn't have a jumpshot but he's still successful. Twill doesn't have a good jumpshot yet but he will develop it sometime down the line. Hes too talented to not improve on his jumpshot.
Great analysis of the Terrence Williams situation reported by Bullard just now on 610. -Bullard stated that TWill not playing was "originally based on him fitting into Rick Adelman's offense." Said something along the lines of that's why he originally did not get playing time because he is a one on one facilitator in the offense and Adelman did not want to change what they were running on offense. to suit him. -Then stated that "the waves" he has made now with his frustration of not playing has not helped his cause with the coaching staff and front office with getting into the rotation. -Bullard's final analysis is that Williams was brought along as a piece for THIS trade deadline, and does not expect him to be getting playing time under Rick Adelman. -Very good explanation and reiterates exactly what I assumed was going on. It started off basketball/Adelman related and now is personel related. Interesting.
The Rockets are 3 deep at C right now and Hill still gets time, it has nothing to do with injuries. If Yao were healthy then sure, he would be the 4th best C and get no PT but who uses 4 C's anyway? Even in the Boston game when Battier was out TWill got no time, that should tell you something, lol...
