If he was showing his skills in practice and knew the offense he'd get playing time. No coach let's inferior players continue to get playing time while supperior players sit game after game. TWill might just need PT but he's going to have to earn it and Tweeting about it isn't going to help (and probably hurts the situation)
I've reversed course on this guy. I want this guy off the Rockets. He needs to shut his big f***ing mouth. can't stand his whining. kid hasn't proven a damn thing and he thinks he can complain to the media about playing time? all this kid has done is complain, and all he proved in NJ is that he has an attitude problem, is athletic, and turns the ball over a lot. I'm beginning to think Morey made a big mistake, especially considering the value teams are putting on 1st round draft picks.
the man said he wants to play basketball, what the heck is wrong with that. what do you want him to say?
This is exactly what I was wondering. Even if you wouldn't consider it venting, he should have just kept his mouth shut for a couple more days until the deadline passes. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Look on the bright side, at least you're getting paid millions to watch basketball! Pugs
TWill has shown nothing impressive in the games that he did play to justify playing time and obviously he isn't showing anything during practice to justify it either... trade the complainer... maybe the cavs have playing time for scrubs
with hating fans, coaches that don't play people, and management that tries to lower the free agency value of their players, it's no wonder no one wants to play for us. This is beyond frustrating.
If LUKE WALTON can crack the Lakers rotation there is no reason a much more talented T Will should be sitting on the bench for a sub .500 team... Adelman didn't play Gerald Wallace nor Kevin Martin when they were young either, Terrence is just gonna have to be patient. For whatever reason, Rick doesn't like to develop young talent. I want T Will to play just as much as the next guy, but I don't like how he makes his complaints public...hopefully this situation will be resolved by Thursday.
Well before I hang the guy I would like to know the venue of where this interview took place and the question that he was answering... These guys get asked a lot of questions and a lot of times reporters make a mountain out of a mole hill to sell a story. So I want condemn him just yet. T_Man
IMO the main reason T-Will isn't getting playing time is because his not as good of a shooter as all of our other wingplayers(Martin, Lee, Battier, Budinger), which seems to be required in this system. But with Adelman possibly leaving this off-season, might as well play him because we're not gonna be having this system for much longer!
This kid can play. Morey didn't give up a first round pick for a guy to rot on the bench. I don't blame him for wanting to play. It's not like he walked out on the team in the middle of the game.
How about nothing? We have 3 more guaranteed years after this year to check out TWill, what's the rush to throw him out into a game clueless this year?
You don't know the context of the question. If someone asked you, "how do you feel about not playing? would you rather be playing ball?
I would say "I need to wait my turn and listen to the vets and the coaches." Be a good PR boy and become Shane Jr.
If TWill thinks the Rockets will trade him by venting, then he and the people who surround him aren't exactly very bright. Dude's basically a draft pick that's stashed away. Does he think he's Melo or something? I think Morey's basically taking a flyer on whether not he can "get it" before his rookie deal expires. Before then, he's just an expensive project. If he's still worthless by the end of his contract, then it's sunk cost. But if he does mature and start improving, he does have star ceiling.
