then they should sit on the bench. defense is the foundation of a contender. you build your offense around this foundation.

By any chance, did you notice who the rockets put out on the floor over the course of the season. 6'6 center. Chuck Hayes. Chase Buddinger. Kevin Martin. There isn't a coach in the NBA that could get that group playing lock down defense. Look at the rockets defensive numbers under Rick when they had yao. Jesus, take a look back he ricks previous teams that were strong defensively. alot of the blame goes on the players and the glaring holes in the lineup.

I would have likes to get him as the coach. He's young, he could keep the rockets running one of the most potent offenses and with the proper personnel, have a respectable defense.

Lol what players to play defense ? We didn't have a damn center... Plus are sf and sg are just known to be terrible defenders

you can find all kinds of excuses but to me none of them is more important than effort. effort is the key of defense.

We also have Luis scola and chuck Hayes guarding the paint. Go ahead and tell me which teams in the post season don't have at least be defensive presence in the paint. You literally can not won without one. Plain and simple. Look at the defense with Yao, and look at it now. Placing the blame for the lack of defense on the coaches is a joke. Can't blame it on the players either. Unless the rockwts get some defensive presence, their defense will suck no matter who coaches.

funny, i've never said this team is a contender. why draw against those contenders? second, i am talking about effort. i don't see the effort from km and cb/ yes, they are good at offense but entertainment won't win a title for you.

Let's look at the situation from another perspective, why would anybody be attracted to this job over others?

    A. The last 3 coaches left sourly.

    B. We are a bottom talent team

    C. No stability. In the last two years, 30 transaction and still no talent

    D. The GM doesn't know basketball, only numbers. This is a recipe for mediocrity, but yet the coach will be blamed for the GM's lack of basketball IQ

so they should sit until they realize they need to put their effort on their defense. chuk put his effort on defense. in any means, he should be mentioned in DOY but he is. why??? coz his mind is set there. he put his effort on it.

Lol. Go tell Martin to sit down then.
Go tell Bud to sit down.
Go tell Luis Scola to sit down.

And then 5 games into the season they will all be demanding trades.

Adelman is going to retire soon. Of he inherits the heat, lakers, or Celtics, turner could join him and be next in line to coach a superstar.

This is confusing. Why are posters showing animosity towards Turner?
