Whatever the case, it's a little disappointing... with the Bonzi rumors, it would seem we could've flipped him for a big man and then turned around and put that big man in this deal.

Well I trust CD and if CD did not think there was a good option than that's cool with me. This does not mean the Rockets did nothing just nothing with Min.

You can't trade for a guy, and then trade him in another deal.

It could've been done in a three-way deal — all one transaction.

I guess we know Mike James didn't get dealt, and not likely the Rockets made a trade at this point.... but surprised they didn't deal Sura's contract (if in fact they didn't make a deal). Sura's contract just expires and more than likely Bonzi walks. The first-round pick was a non-issue to me (we're concerned about losing a guaranteed contract at #27 that JVG won't play anyway?)

I really just care about getting point guard help though... we're going to need it.

    So.....

Old and busted: Mike James via trade
    New hotness: Steve Francis buyout

I'd much rather have James, but can't do that this season now. Opportunity lost.

I wonder how horrendously disgruntled James would be if he were traded to the Rockets.

ESPN just reported that Allan Henderson was traded to the Jazz for rights to possible switch 2nd round picks in 2007 draft.....Splash!

It does take two to deal, and it would be great to know how things apparently derailed.

i would have loved to get Mike James back. What do you guys have against MJ. All of you loved him while he was here, why hate him so much now? He would have been a great contribution to this team and I think they blew a good opportunity.

I always wanted Stevie back with us. Whether it be off the bench or starting, he could really help us. But it doesn't really look like they are going to buy him out. :(

I know its no big deal, but really none of the moves today have had any value in the league.

And just a quick question.....who runs the point if Rafer gets injured??????

If you wonder whether Yao would disrupt chemistry when he comes back... we know for sure what Mike James will do to the team chemistry.

As things are now rockets team salary will be around 58M including sura's 1M waived ass and the 2007 1st round draftee.

If the LT threshold stays pat then Rocks will have around 7M to spend on four more players that includes re-signing Hayes, a backup C, an upgrade at PF, and a backup PG.

thats scary...and seeing Luther run the point last night was pure humor.

I think the Rockets focused so much on Yao and T-macs injury and the chance Mutombo getting hurt that they seemed to over look worst case scenerios at the pg POSITION!
