T-Mac isn't unlucky, he is just built like a stick.

My idea is to rest him when we play games that we "should" win, play him in games where we play better opponents.

So rest him against the bottom dwellers, play him when we play good teams.

7 year old school girl? You are kidding ,i think you cannot be better than tmac if you have the same situation with him. The doctor predicted he can simply insist his carrer for 4 years , he paid a lot including a death in the family and make large progress when the first year in Orlando .He had not been lazy before, but now , i feel kind of sorry for him. He is a kind but pathetical man, you cannot judge him because you never expericence these。
You can turn to concern Kobe' game if you like him。

His shoulder should have no effect on him rehabbing his knee, I am sure he used it as a reason for not doing anything, but he could have gotten in the pool and started strengthening those leg muscles, he chose not to, and now he and the Rockets are paying the price for his uh....laz.....choice.

How exactly are you so sure that TMac did nothing to rehab his knee over the summer? I seem to remember a thread where someone had taken pictures of him running on a track in Stafford. Isn't that rehabbing?

By the way, that pic of Yao in the pool was taken during the season. I believe it was around the time TMac was participating in the annual event known as "Yao is out for 20+ games, let's play on," while his knee was hurting.

However, I do agree with you that I think it's mostly in McGrady's head. The knee is not 100%, but I think he doesn't have confidence in it, and that's the major issue. I think the MRI will be fine.

I'm more concerned about Yao. He is clearly not right.

I think I remember him talking about not being able to do anything over the summer because of his injuries.

But, do you recall any article showing him dilligently working out? Because you see articles about Yao doing that....

Neither Francis nor Tmac seems to have worked all that hard to come back....

Tmac should have put his rehab videos on his own website, just like that Manu is doing! :p

exactly his injury came out of the blue last year, and already he is tugging on his foot and hobbling up the court. If he plays on I think it could be devasting too.

As long as we have have 2 out of the big 3 playing, we should be ok, seeing as how well our bench has been playing. Lets hope it's not too serious and he will be back in a couple games.

I am sure McGrady worked to come back. He loves playing basketball, it is not like he has to do that just to earn money.

McGrady is just missing his confidence which may even cause the pain.

As for Yao, you are totally right. We HAVE TO be careful with him. You never know if he is fine or not. We better check his leg now and make sure he is allright, because I don't wanna ready 'Yao ming out for the season' again...

I actually think Francis worked pretty hard. The only reason he is still a Rocket I would imagine.

tracy is in pretty good shape. he's been playing pretty big minutes in a lot of games this yr and you don't see him winded one single time (44 mins v. portland, 39 v. suns, 43 v. hornets-on a b2b too). so i don't think it's his stamina or question of being in shape.

the knee is just healing slower than expected. some people heal differently and i guess tracy is a slow healer. he is obviously frustrated b/c he's been playing below how he feels he should be playing.

let's see what the MRI shows today and what the docs are saying.

but again, his stamina or being in shape is not really a question, or you would see him struggle to play big minutes.

Tracy is just unlucky. I really hate that he has to go through this. I know this has to be messing with his head big time. He was already playing hurt and now things just got worse.

T-Mac=High BB IQ, Francis=Low BB IQ, T-Mac=No Heart, Francis=All Heart. If you ever could get the all heart part or partial heart into T-Mac he would be one of the top 3 best players in the league even at his current age.Talent wise he's more talented than Kobe, he just doesn't impose his will on a game like Kobe does. Even on a gimpy knee he still should be borderline unguardable, his offensive skillset is off the charts. It's a thing of beauty when T-Mac attacks the bucket, good things happen to the rockets when he does. He needs to either throw caution to the wind and just play or he needs to sit on the bench in street clothes until he gets his head on straight.

As someone who's had a ton of injuries its not so easy to just say all you need to do is go out there and want to turn it on. There's a lot of times that you want to go out there and play and times that you can get out there and perform at a high level but that's not always possible. The human body is an incredibly complex machine and sometimes something just isn't working quite as well as it should and it makes all of the difference.

I'm not surprised that some like McGrady who has a history of injuries is playing inconsistently.

According to Feigen, TMac is practicing today, and running as well, so that is good news. Artest may be the worst off out of the 3:

"I really don't know what the MRI will show. And obviously, until they have an entire practice, it is impossible to say if he will take part in an entire practice. He was running when it started. I would think the MRI is part precautionary, part to provide reassurance. -- Jonathan"

"Thank you. The MRI is at 3. My opinion on Artest's injury is that it might be the most severe of the three -- at least the most severe of the three specifically suffered last night -- but it is not a complicated injury. I would not be surprised to see him miss Wednesday. -- Jonathan"

I agree. Everybody has thier problems but my main point is his lack of motivation. Look at his game its like there is no energy in him. yes everybody is different but this is the NBA he shouldent be standing around watching brooks, scola, berry do everything. If his body is in that bad of shape maybe he should sit out and get better. Artest has not played all that (offence) well but his heart is in it, it shows in his play. I'm not saying that he sucks or that he should not have problems with his injurys, I just dont think he has a desire to play like he once did.

    Good catch.

You'll notice he says the MRI is later, so we still don't really know more than we did yesterday. Hopefully the knee is fine, and it's just taking a while for Tmac to build his strength back up.
