Rudy T's statement about the second championship team should never be used to describe McGrady. Ever.

I don't know, most people wouldn't literally shovel crap all day for 40,000 dollars a year. I'm gonna guess he either A) didn't do the math to see how much he was talking about, or B) he meant 2%, which would actually be a hefty income for which I would probably shovel crap

    ...whatever that means.

I'm (not) amazed at the number of T-mac apologists that fell right over once again as he spewed his usual hot air. At this point, you could put together a daily calender of his greatest hits:

"It feels good to finally be in the 2nd round."

    "It's on me"

"I'm going to turn Stromile Swift into an All-Star player."

"It's my fault some people ordered Heneiken but got Budweiser. I'm sorry."

"One reason we do not play well at home is the stands behind the basket at the Toyota Center are too far. You can ask other players around the league - the depth perception in this place is horrible."

"I'm just looking forward to something great happening in the city of Houston. And believe me, something great is going to happen."

"You're going to see a vicious T-Mac this year. I'm going to be taking it to the hole"

Before Boston's Big Three there was only one. Paul Pierce was trashed by the fans and the media alike during that final season before their super summer. He was labeled a quitter. I was at the game where everyone had finally had it and wanted him out. His career in Boston appeared to be over. Only thing was management didn't give a **** about what the fans or the media wanted. They knew Pierce was the real deal and decided to build the entire thing around him instead. Needless to say it ended with a championship and Paul being MVP of the finals. Now Boston fans and media alike praise Paul as the best in the NBA and one of the all time greats. Strange what winning can do. One can't help but develop a sudden case of amnesia.

So now T-Mac is struggling and everyone has him under a mircroscope. They've quickly dismissed any and all of his ROcket accomplishments. He's referred to around here as if he is Gerald Green. Actually Gerald is probably more beloved since he hails from Houston and T-Mac has always been unreliable outsider. Nevermind that he carried us to the playoffs last year while battling injury and nearly beat a lethal Utah Jazz team by himself. Trust me, no athlete, no matter how great, accomplishes what T-Mac has without being one hell of a competitor. It's become rather pathetic how many choose to remember his tenure here. Everyone whined about the Jamario Moon dunk as if it was last straw and his ticket out of town. **** happens. Deron WIlliams gave up on the EXACT same type of play last night vs G-State with Utah trailing and noone is asking for his resignation. Maybe we should trust our greatest player to bounce back, especially when he has never given us a reason not to.

Exactly, It sounds like the same old song and dance. Everytime this guy opens his mouth he sticks his foot in it. I've been one of his harshest critics( alot harder than he is on himself, apparently), But i really hope he proves me wrong.

I almost feel sorry for this guy, he seems like he really is lost. The Rockets seem to be losing alot of their fans do to their disgust with Tracy. It is just time to part with this guy, he's already wasted enough of Yao's years. If D.M. can't get much for him now or by the deadline, they need to do something by off season. I just can't stand to see this guy anymore, "It's Time" to move on. Sick and tired of Tracy's drama! :(

It's pathetic how many excuses this guy comes up with for bad play. Seriously does he think we're all stupid? "Oh when I looked at the tape I noticed..." STFU Tpuss, you can't tell me you didn't know you were playing like crap with the numbers you put up.

This article makes Tmac look like a mentally weak moron. We should've seen this coming from his days in Orlando.

Crap like this makes it so obviously why he's never made it out of the first round and why he won't unless he surrounds himself with people that will make up for his fragile will.

    What a p***y.

What has T-Mac accomplished? And Deron Williams is not half stepping while on the court like T-mac is doing.

I think, finally, Tmac realizes that it is still on him.

I remember Yao said that Tmac did so much for the rockets when he was out last season and he wanted to pay back when Tmac was not 100% this season. Obviously, it didn't work out.

Sounds like damage control to me. However, I still have faith in TMac.

What if he didn't say anything? If the reporters asked him questions about his effort or performance and he said 'i have nothing to say about that' how do you think the reporters and we would react? We would hang him for not caring.

This article at least shows me that T-Mac knows what's going on. He knows how he's looked. That in itself doesn't vindicate him, but it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully this can prove to be a spring board for him to motivate himself and get going.

Talk is cheap, I couldn't agree more with that phrase. But let's give the guy an opportunity to back up his words. If he can't so be it, but I'll be cheering for him if he's able to come back.

There's nothing T-Mac can say or do at this point that will erase all the criticism. He needs to just play hard and do everything he can to help the team. Maybe the coach should run more post ups for him. There needs to be an emphasis on him getting to the basket. If he can't get there from the 3-point line, move him in closer.
