Plain and simple TMac needs to sit out as long as possible until he can play at a high level. It really does us no good if Tmac keeps coming back not ready and actually becomes a liability when on the floor.

i think he probably will be able to. chances are certainly better than 50% on this one.

but, what if he can't, foe whatever reason?

    V3.0,

But what if the reason that Tmac is sucking is because he is out of shape? What should the team do? Assuming that is the case, shouldn't they try to get him "in shape" by playing him in the games?

It is fairly obvious he has put on some weight and does not look as quick out there, would sitting out get him to his ideal playing weight and alleviate the pain in his knees?

Would it help him with the alleged personal problems? Something is not right with Tmac, and I don't believe it is all in his knee...something else is going on with him...he is just not right mentally and looks like he has checked out for a bit.

    It makes you wonder.

T-Mac had a triple double not long ago. He also had a good stretch of games after his return which was important to us winning a good number of games.

I would rather see him healing up to 100% than trying to play hard and re-injure himself for a lengthy period of time.

Can't we be a bit more forgiving sometimes?

Not the biggest T-Mac fan, but I can't stand the "T-Mac rage" on here.

Who are you? TMZ? The National Enquirer? I really don't care what's going on his private life and I sorta get perturbed when people start speculating about others' private lives.

If he's out of shape, then ride the bike and get in better shape in practice. BTW, I don't think he's that out of shape to be noticeable. He looks a step slower, but I'm assuming that is his knee.

Trying get him in shape in games is doing us no good, he's not playing at a high level right now and it's actually costing us games.

Just let him sit until he feels ready to play at a high level.

Seriously I hardly bother reading your posts but since you got my attention this time...

Speculating other's private lives and suddenly becoming psychologists is something I find irritating from fans when most of them are just that: common fans. I find it annoying when sports writers do this also but I understand they gotta sell a story.

Now T-mac's just going to respond with a damned if you do, damned if you don't statement lol.

But really, Head and Artest go out and play hard. McGrady doesn't even DO that. Now, I understand he might feel pain, so like others have said: SIT OUT.

Either way, it's the same story all season long. I don't think he'll really be the same player anymore and I used to be a HUGE T-Mac fan. Still am, but I'd personally really just rather trade him for stuff we can actually use. Maybe a slashing SG and a backup C.

If Feigen said so, I would believe something aint right.

T-mac, u can play bad in 82 games, but not for the playoffs.

I just wish we could have a healthy team for the second half of the season and the playoffs because I know we have the talent to beat any team in a 7 game series if everyone is healthy.

Tracy is out of shape. He didn't rehab the knee like he was supposed to after the surgergy.Instead he sat around and came to training camp with his knee weak and he was ready to compete.

He got it stronger as the season moved on but the problem now is he didn't put the practice time in during the offseason and in training camp on basketball skills. it's obvious he didn't shoot 500 shots and day or the other things needed to get his game in tip top shape for the season.

The way he is playing you see a player who hasn't been working on his game and this is the reason he is inconsistent with his play.

He still can light you up from time to time because he is so gifted and he is a natural at the game, but he can't bring it every night because his body and his game are both out of shape, PERIOD POINT BLANK.

    who are you?

and who is peeping the precious private life of the beloved #1? the only thing i as fan see is how he performs on the court. and his performance lately can be summed in two words - NOT TRYING.

If McLady does come out and say something about this win I really hope he doesn't refer to the Rockets as "HIS team," as in "MY team played tough the other night." I hate how he does that. How can he truly believe that he is still a superstar...maybe all those All Star votes get to his head.

Tmac is using injury as a scapegoat for his poor playing and lack of desire to dominate...that's just my opinion.

I really dont care how many regular season games he plays as long as he can really go when it counts. If this team is so deep like people thought it was, sit the guy down, restrict his minutes or whatever. can he play and affect the game while being hurt, probably, but whats the point? If you're championship worthy, you should be able to win anywhere, anytime, any place.

So he's not trying. Well that's great that you came to that profound conclusion.

And you should be honored for me to be replying to a rookie n00b like you. Usually I don't respond to rookies cause they don't say anything worth responding back to. You've proven to be no different. :D
