The first 7 yrs of TMac's NBA career someone close to him, each year, died. check this out for those who don't remember: <a href="http://life.atlantafalcons.com/index.php?showtopic=3825611">Seven Seasons, Seven Deaths</a>. Some were murdered. As GOAT said in 2005, I do recall him having gf problems, that he finally "resolved" by proposing to her...right? It does seem like he has gone through a lot in his personal life. Can he deal with it? Doesn't look like it.
GOAT, again, I still don't know if you can be believed, but this is amazing stuff if true. Question: (1) Was the Rockets brass and the other players aware it was not a back issue in 2005? (2) Are they aware now of the "real" situation going on now?
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Tracy with another girl at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious. clutchfans.net, the best sewing circle on the interwebs!
Great questions, but would he know what the organization knows? I mean he said his girl is friends with Tmac's wife. DD
I hate to be an ass but I can name seven people in a seven year span whom i know, some of these people its pretty dubious how close to him he really was. its proves one thing though, he's about the drama
I realize he may not necessarily know. I also feel strange asking questions to someone I'm not sure is credible. Needless to say, if this comes out like he says, GOAT will have a lifetime's worth of cred here. If not, he should be banned.
lol so I guess his history of back problems is all fake. He was never injury prone. T-mac is 100% healthy. All that witch doctor stuff was made up. Seriously, how fairly tale does it sound where he meets a doctor that magically treats him? Even the scene where he falls down on the court due to back spasms was acted out. In fact, Martin Scorsese directed that sequence. T-Mac was nominated for an Oscar but can't win because hes not an official actor. The only thing that has been holding him back are females. Yeah, sounds about right to me. Hey, at least T-Mac can't be bashed for being an injury prone prick anymore right?
and to add to the drama, he bought Payne Stewart's mansion, and he owns his own jet, too. He must freak out everytime he gets on his jet. Still, when you are as young as TMac was during those years, and you know seven people close to you, it's tough; it piles up. Scroll to the bottom of the article posted in that thread. Two friends, his best friend, and four family members. No first family like what Carlos Rogers went through, but people who raised him and cousins his own age. Plus, I can see how the brutality can make some young people depressed and start questioning the meaning of it all.
Yeah yeah yeah, just earlier you said it wasn't family related. So how is him having another affair not family related?
I hate to be the bigger ASS but is it me or does anybody care how many woman T-macs sleeps with? I don't care if he has cheated around his wife, does drugs, kills baby kittens because that doesn't matter. What matters is the product on the court. The man still gets paid 20+ Million a damn year. We should have a pole on this board and it would go something like this. Would you sleep around and get a divorce for 20+ Million a year? It's not like he can't get his wife back and if this is not the 1st,2nd,50th time he's done this so what. If the man was getting paid scrub money then this whole ordeal would not matter. T-mac is the one who caused this, it's not like his wife cheated on him and is having someones baby.(That would be worse )
If McGrady has lied about his physical injury, does this constitute a breach of contract? If so, would the Rox be responsible to pay him for all the games missed by the phantom injury? As manager myself, if any of my employees miss work, I have the right to ask for a doctor's note to justify giving them sick pay. If they lie, then it's consider a Code of Conduct violation which I can terminate at my discretion. Now since McGrady is under contract, I believe the Rox has the right to get their money back. To me, if this is true, it constitutes fraud and at roughly $250k per game, that's a HUGE CASE.
It depends on how serious the injury is. Someone coughed once in the morning, is something wrong with him? probably yes. Will it be serious enough to take the whole week off because of that? I guess not. Most of people would ignore it and do what they suppose to do.
There is no way the organization can or should go for their money back, it would destroy the relationship with Tmac completely. In the age of guaranteed contracts, they should try to help him, get him right, because that is in the best interests of the team. The team is their only concern.....and any chance the TEAM has is tied directly to Tmac. DD
Doesn't being mentally ill count. I take mentally ill days all the time Here's my issue with the whole thing. Sports to me was always an escape from those day to day issues. Why in the world would something like that affect his play? Injury affecting play I understand, but marital problems? It must be a personality thing. When I was at my most stressed and distracted off the court is when I had my best focus and play on the court. (Of course playing wasn't my job either)
I looks to me that T-Mac just does not deal well with stress, and I can empathize. He's preoccupied with various things happening in his personal life, and that saps away his energy and focus for rehabbing and playing with fire. It makes perfect sense. He tells himself, "OK, I just need a little time, and I'll come back doubly focused." Yeah, I know how that goes. Maybe for a game or two he's able to maintain that intensity, but the stress continues to eat at him inside, and he eventually falls back to his default, low energy funk. Counseling and/or going to a psychiatrist might help, but then where's the time for that in the middle of an NBA regular season?
GOAT are you claiming that T-Mac was out in 2005 not because of back injuries, but because of off the court issues? that's a bold ****ing statement. I vividly recall T-Mac back spasming during games and being carried on a stretcher off the court. Are you saying he FAKED the whole thing? That's just ridiculous. He had real back spasms.
I think there are two issues here, one is when he had the spasms, the other is when he sat out an extended period and blamed his back - they were seperate times. DD
So here you say your girl and his wife are pretty close, so I'm assuming you're saying your girl is the one who told you. But in this quote Rob pulled up you say your wifes friend told you. Hmmmm change stories much?
