Truth is the ultimate defense in a libel trial. If he's lying GOAT deserves the ban stick. If he's telling the truth then I've got no problems with him posting insider information here. Hell, that's a good chunk of the reason I come to this board in the first place.
If its an affair Im actually relieved. I was afraid it was an injury that just wouldnt heal. You get over heart-break or guilt or whatever. Hopefully he can work this **** out and get back into 100% mode.
I agree to a certain extent -- and to be honest, I am in no position to say whether this is true or false. I just disagree with the idea of speculating over stuff like this. It isn't fair, it isn't right, and this is not the place for it ... that's what I'm saying. I love the fact that we get insider information here too -- I love to hear about potential trades and roster moves before they hit the news. But this is a player's private life being messed around with here.

i'm inclined to believe this is true. Can somebody refresh me on what happened a coupleyears ago that you guys were talking about? I was not aware of another situation like this. Still, I'm just kinda surprised that this would affect his play that much. Kobe was charged with rape and he still tore up the court every day. Most of these star players probably bang a different woman every week but they always still play good basketball. Why is TMac different?
LOL backread much? -Actually, when McGrady turns it on and off like he has, he's supporting the case that it's NOT the knee holding him back but himself. Plus, regardless of the shape his knee is in, it is not a viable excuse for him standing straight up, arms down, shuffling around on defense or floating around the perimeter uninterested on offense. When a guy is half-a**ing it, it's obvious. As to assuming - the sitdown with the front office makes it fairly plain that this is a bit more than fan speculation. Finally, Tracy's knee IS NOT INJURED. True, it's not 100%, but that is not an injury. Ron's turned ankle IS an injury. Barry's pulled groin IS an injury. Battier's inflammed foot IS an injury. McGrady's knee checks out 100% fine by every doctor that's examined it. You could have broken your arm and fully healed in the time it's been since Tracy had loose particles cleaned out of his knee. Not a torn ACL, not microfracture surgery.....a scope to remove loose particles. That knee is not injured. Maybe it's sore and achy. Maybe it's missing some explosiveness because McGrady didn't push himself in rehab. But it is NOT an injury. Evan
That's not the issue. The issue is the topic. Like I said, we've been down this road before. Even if eventually there was some truth to the rumors (which still turned out to be quite exaggerated), the end result was not good for the BBS. It's one thing to say "someone who works for the Rockets told me that they're currently negotiating a trade of Yao for Amare", it's another thing to say "my girlfriend knows T-Mac's wife and she heard that he was sleeping around again." The latter type of rumor does not belong on a supposedly reputable site like this.
Tmac had an affair with a lady in Orlando and they had a baby, they went to court and tried to close the court session to protect TMac and his endorsements. The judge disagreed it was a public court, TMac pays child support and that was the end. However, all of it did coincide with some back problems, he took a lot of time off for that, and once resolved his back magically cleared up....and has had no issue with it sense. This could be a case of history repeating itself. DD
DD you and I were talking about this I think in the preseason so like I was saying I have been knowing and it has been an on going issue....I apologize to the board if I offended you in any way, but I feel the truth will come out sooner or later....Also in 2005 it wasn't his back that kept him out that year, it was the samething he has going on right now
