and we are supposed to bash him for this? dude, I'm not a fan of Tracy McGrady the person, I'm a fan of Tracy McGrady the basketball player. Even if this is true, I don't care if Tracy McGrady is having an affair, I don't care if he has children out of wedlock, I don't even care if he is having sex with trees......all I care about is rings, and if T-Mac feels that he has to bang every tree along the way to a championship title....then someone get that man an auger bit and start drillin holes. just as I thought, GOAT's doom and gloom is a complete waste of time.
I figured it was more than his knee, his attitude has been piss poor, just like he is not quite there. Figured it was home issues.....some guys can put it behind them some are uber sensitive, Tmac is of the uber sensitive type. Guys should not bash GOAT for posting that, it is information that helps put it into context. While I don't condone what TMac did, it helps me understand what he is going through, and why he has basically shut it down on his own this year. And the last time TMac had an affair, he feigned a back injury to deal with the issue....this may be history repeating itself. DD
It should NOT be posted. We've been down this road before, and it did not end in a good place. This forum's credibility took a major hit as a result, and everyone from talk show hosts to other forums was talking about how ClutchFans was a hotbed for false rumors. And it turned out to be false. It happened exactly like this -- some random poster claiming he had insider information from people close to McGrady. The only difference was that that person actually started a new thread about it. This is not right.

it is different when a player can handle it and play through it, but tmac can't so that is the reason he deserve the bashing.....you all can wait for it to hit the air waves
Um ... I think he was talking about bashing him for letting it affect his play on the court again. You know like he did in 05-06.
That's the risk you run when you allow insiders (who understandably want to remain anonymous) to post information. Sometimes the system is going to be abused.
Goat how hard is it to create another Profile and sign in with that profile and state why T-mac is having issues?
That was my first guess, but I really didn't want to go there. Not that I put him (or athletes) on a pedestal, but because it's unfair to speculate about things like that - even on message boards. GOAT's confirmation of this is sad. Reflects very poorly on Mac and really sucks for his wife. Maybe Mac should just go in for another "procedure" so he can put these kind of nightmares with complications behind him once his wife gives him the boot.
This should not be posted unless there is a credible news source. Some random poster claiming "my girlfriend knows his wife" is NOT a credible source. This is nothing but a random unsubstantiated rumor, and last I checked ClutchFans was not a celebrity gossip website.
GOAT has not been known to come here and troll the system, in fact he has said he was aware of this issue before Tmac shut it down...and kept quiet about it. I guess we shall find out, one of the radio stations or newspapers will dig into it and find out. Eventually when the Orlando situation was happening the Chronicle finally did some stuff on it. Tmac and the lady wanted it private but the judge said no, IIRC. This could be a similar situation. DD
It should be posted, discussed, and posted. And Tmac did this to himself when he said he needed to sit out the last time and when he came back he would be himself. Obviously, he is not. So, as fans, we speculate. If he coudn't have handled it, then he shouldn't have done it. Nobody would have ever said anything had he not made it obvious.
It's one thing when you have insiders speculating on potential trades. It's another thing when they start spreading unseemly rumors about a player's personal life.
If Clutch makes that call, fine by me....personally, I have no issue with it, as it explains a lot. And if Tmac is hiding it, or afraid of it getting out, then hopefully it getting out will allow him to just focus on basketball....it will get out...just like the Orlando bit. DD
I'm not accusing GOAT of lying. The additional information he's provided (the baby) kind of makes me think the opposite, actually. I'm taking this rumor with a grain of salt, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be true.
