The article says is was Morey and Adelman in the meeting with T-Mac, so I doubt Les said anything. He may not have even been a part of the meeting from the sound of it.

Right. No reason fans who have been critical of Tracy should get called out if he starts to now turn things around. It will have taken the actions of DM and RA to get Tracy's mind right and get him in gear. If this is really the case these fans piling on about Tracy's lack of determination and desire may well have been on to something.

and Scolandry emerged. I wouldnt come close to giving full credit to TMAC for that....

Scola and Landry were HUGE after Yao went down.

Shiet even Deke made us a strong defensive team.

Answer me this, when Yao went down why didnt Tmac scoring average SOAR past Yao's? But yet we won 22 straight because of him and his heart?

If anyone stepped up it was our PF's.

I'm eager to see what in God's name happened behind the scenes. That sounds pretty weird that there's more to it than meets the eye I guess.

I hope T-Mac took it serious and does not pull a no-show in tonight's game!We need him so that Ron Ron could rest it up for this game and get better in shape.

As the world turns! The continuing soap opera that is the Houston Rockets. What will TMac do? What will Les say? When will Morey make a move? What about Rafer? What about Bob? Stay tuned.

Sounds like Morey, Adelman, and even his teammates are sick of McGrady's B.S., considering the comments about "injuries no excuse" and playing with commitment.

Ain't nothin' wrong with Tmac that can't be fixed in Emerald City. Since the great and powerful Wizard isn't handing out hearts this week--we should have asked last week, for Christmas--time to pull the trigger.

I swear I think that Tracy is embarrassed because he can't go out and throw down big dunks anymore.

Those days are long gone Tracy -- just go play.

    I think it was overexaggerated.

Though I do agree that he needs to play with more energy and intensity, despite the soreness, I doubt he really actually claim he vowed he will play with more energy and intensity.

Bottomline is, McGrady just needs to play with the soreness. It's time to win now.

My thoughts exactly. Millions of dollars can't make you happy, people. Even reach people are depressed. The same percentage of them or even bigger.
So let's get over with of how much he is making and start hoping that he gets him self together this year. He can still be great, probably not one of the greatest.

I'll no longer be surprised if Tracy is gone by the deadline.

Les is a part of everything. Whether he was there are not.

I would also add everyone is missing the point. TMac is the sorriest excuse for an NBA Superstar ever. What other 20 million dollar player has to have a meeting with management to motivate him to play... that is just sad. I don't understand the pithy for him on this board. The man is paid millions to perform and then he performs when he wants too. I have held back my thoughts on TMac for a while but enough is enough. IMO he is worthless piece of talent.

But we all know it's not about his talent. Even this year he has displayed superstar moments on a Kobe Bryant level. Although that happens about as frequent as a menopausal middle aged hooker's menstrual cycle. Add that with the fact that he whines more than Lindsay Lohan about her sex life. He seems to be more concerned about looking good, having perfect sideburns or the cool suits than playing basketball. It's obvious he doesn't care about the team anymore and only cares about what's in it for him.

I suspect Les, Morey and Adelman have had these thoughts for a while and have wanted a good trade for a while. The fact is everyone in the league knows who wussy McGrady is now and we can't can't get much more than crap for him now. I also suspect Tmac knows he is on the block and that's why he is moping around. The more he looks like a sorry excuse for a basketball player the less likely the Rockets will get any value in return for him. We're down to Wally Sczerbiak discussions. I felt he displayed that same kind of character last year when he disappeared for a long while before the trading deadline and then decided to show up just before it ended last year.

The meeting probably went something like Rick Tmac and Morey sitting around with Adelman mostly silent...

Morey: "Tracy do you want to be here? Tmac half ass nodding his head and then Morey following up with, "If you are not happy here than we will gladly find you some place else to mop... Rick thinks you are great talent but he doesn't want you on the team if you can't play with intensity and heart."
    TMac:"Okay I'll play hard."
    Adelman: Yeah right."
Morey:"Okay if you can commit. We will postpone any trade talk. But we have to see it on the court.
    TMac: Yeah Whatever, Man.
    Morey: I am serious Tracy.
Tmac: Okay man I get it. I'll play harder.

The sad thing is he is playing on a Rocket roster with so many players who represent the epitamy of heart and character. Yao, Battier, Artest, Scola, Hayes, Brooks etc, they all put their best on the court every game and are self motivated to give there all. Why would you have to have this conversation with a man who makes so much money playing a game. The answer is simple Tmac is still a baby boy at heart. He gets Superstar treatment but acts like a primaddonna when there is even a chance he is not getting his way. He doesn't get if he plays hard gives more than he will become untouchable. Instead he plays inconsistent and selfish and not at all in order to become untradeable. He has no worries his money is guaranteed.

The thing is if he comes out and plays with intensity and heart tonight he is just proving all his timeout was just a game. And he is just a joke. All I have to say is yeah Tmac your money is guaranteed but your Character is not. Unless you do a 180. You will go down in my books as a loser. Not since Pippen have I found a Rocket a dislike so much. And at least with Pippen he was long gone untill that occurred. I know Tmac will have some more great games and all his fans will jump on here saying see the man is great and he doesn't deserve the hate. But no matter how he plays going forward he has already displayed a character that is pathetic in my mind. The Wally Sczerbiak trade is looking better every day.

Goat I believe you, this is why I think the guy needs a sports pyschocologist in the worst way. So many people are buying into him not playing hard because of his surgery 6 or 7 months ago. I think it goes much deeper than that, he's not committed to playing hard out there and it looks like something is bothering him big time. He needs mental help.

I heard many comments about him having "personal issues". Does anyone have any inside as to what exactly is going on?
