Actually it does since his personal life is affecting his on court performance which in turn affects the product on the floor. I've spent a little over 300 dollars on rockets this year (and I've only gone to two games) and if his personal issues is affecting his play to a point where he is sucking badly then yeah I want some of my money back. I didnt pay to see a Tmac who is half-assing it out there. If the NBA is a business as everyone claims than certainly his personal life matters. Imagine if something going on at home is affecting your own performance at work, its going to show and your boss or bosses will have something to say about it of course. The worst part of it all (if GOAT is correct) that its something he brought upon himself. i mean look at Kobe the guy had a freakin rape charge on him (true or not is debatable of course) and had to go back and forth with trial proceedings and everything during the course of the season right in the public's eye and it didnt effect his on court performance if anything he used the court as an escape from it all. If I was a season ticket holder I would be really upset at his antics. It would be one thing if he was actually injured, no one can help that but every doctor has pretty much said he isnt injured, he himself has said that he cant hurt it anymore so clearly its just an effort thing with him. If the NBA was anything like a normal company he would have been fired a long time ago.
I've got the slogan: "If you're stinking it up like the Houston Rockets, spray some of this stuff on. You'll still suck but at least you won't smell"
Expert opinions of those who predicted the Rockets wouldnt make the playoffs last year, want Vassilis Spanoulis as the starting guard over Rafer, and host of others who think saying "McLady" is still somehow funny....I'll choose to see the demise when I see it... BUT, team outlook has to be filled with some skepticism. This looked to me like a team that was disappointed and upset with their star player.
not going to happen so don't kid yourself. sleezy way to rationalise all the rumor spreading. yeah but the people who work on another floor shouldn't be gossiping and speculating (with absolutely no credible evidence) about others. not true. doctors state they can't find a medical reason why a knee isn't performing; it doesn't mean he's not injured. if doctors could totally rule out that a patient isn't injured, you wouldn't see so many back pain whiplash lawsuits. like saleem mentioned, it could be pschological. technically that could cause knee pain if it was psychosomatic (DON'T start rumors from this too ).
From the article two days ago: "Morey said Sunday that McGrady vowed in that pregame meeting to return fully committed to playing, likely beginning tonight against the Washington Wizards, and to playing with energy and intensity." Yesterday, after losing to the Wizards: "We just thought we could turn it on in the fourth quarter and win this game against a team that the record doesn't show they're a good team and it really backfired on us," said Tracy McGrady. Link Thanks for keeping the promise, Tracy.
Well it wasn't like he played like he didn't care for 3 quarters. He played with more energy, his shots just weren't falling. He should of drove to the hole more in the 2nd half that was my only problem but he started out driving. The question is will he come out aggressive next game. He hasn't been consistent when it comes to how aggressive he is.
I would have to say trade t-mac! like his knee will not hold up another year and he will not physically ever be better. I'd take what i can get with t-mac. It's not fun to see tracy jog up and down the court on a fast break. He's not able to be the old t-mac from the orlando days. He's done in my opinion.
