Shaud, don't you ever call your wife...."Your girl"

LOL...it is completely consistent, and he put his BBS life on the line, if he is lying, Clutch will no doubt ban him.

I know you don't want to believe, that is obvious, but if it is true, then it would explain a lot.

There running a business and not a YMCA team. If you don't run it like one then the precedent that you're establishing will be more damaging in the long run. Guaranteed contracts were made to help players out when they get legitimate injuries and such, not against fraudaulent claims. I'm looking at this not as a fan but with my manager hat on, and if the facts are indeed true, then I don't know how McGrady or his lawyers would be able to beat this one.

I really doubt T-Mac is faking that he has scoliosis.

Lol I'm 20 so I'm not married but that wasn't my point DD.

    My point is

In 1 post he says his wife/girl is close to T-mac's wife.

In the other post he's saying his wife/girl has a friend that is close to T-macs wife.

he said it wasn't another family/friend death or illness type scenario.

    manhore, shortfuse

If GOAT is correct, TMac probably had a miserable XMas with the wife and family...probably an argument ensued...he was depressed the next day after XMas and, essentially, called in sick...but met with the managers to discuss it.

GOAT says the back spasms in 2005 were more about depression. The cause can be the gf problems resulting in back spams. Not sure how that necessarily becomes a phantom injury worthy. I think you are nitpicking GOAT's statement. He certainly had surgery last summer. What it seems GOAT is saying is his lazy, uninspired looking play, and need to take days off, is often due to depression from personal issues.

I'm not saying TMac is right or wrong in GOAT's scenario, just trying to say that stress and depression can certainly lead to back spams.

    hmmm.. if rumors are true

do you guys think the RA and DM should have refrained from talking tough with T-Jack then?

I mean.. his personal life is screwed up if the rumor is true. now in professional life he is under big pressure.. i hope he doesnt crack up and blow up the entire chemistry on the team..

    fingers crossed

He faked it dude. All that injury stuff was just an elaborate scheme to cover up his real personal problems. The man is that good. Tricked everyone from the Rockets staff to high profile doctors. In fact, he's not even a real basketball player. He is really a undercover agent from Darfur. James Bond ain't got nothing on McGrady, Tracy McGrady.

I am looking at it from a GM's side. They know that to put the best team on the court and give themselves a chance to win it all, they need a motivated TMac.

And if they go to a guy they know is mentally weak and tell him they are going to contest his money, and basically ruin his reputation, they will have to deal him, there is no going back from that.

And it makes the team weaker by trading it.....believe it or not, I think they still believe that if everyone is healthy they can win it all......so do I.

They can not contest his contract....they just need to get him on the floor....which was probably why they had that meeting discussed in the Chronicle.

Perhaps they're all mutual friends, but it was his wife's friend who actually heard about it straight from T-Mac's wife. Or maybe he's making it up.

All I know is it makes perfect sense that Tracy is dealing with some personal issues. For some players, basketball can be an outlet, a way to forget about all the other things going on. I'm not sure Tracy has that same love for the game; it's a job for him and stuff going on in his personal life is probably making it difficult for him to concentrate on his job.

I don't see what's so hard about managing this situation. They have ron, shane, baryy, tracy, and wafer at the 2/3. There is 96 mins in those 2 spots. Start Tracy and Shane then bring in Ron and Head/Barry/Wafer. Play Tracy 25 mins, Shane 20mins, Ron 30, Barry 17 and if need be sprinkle in wafer and head. Then there is no excuse for not contributing in the limited time. After the asg, they should be healthy and rollin.

Yeah you're right that could also be the case. I'm not saying 100% that it is b/s because he could be telling the truth.

But the whole I don't wanna put him on blast thing he posted earlier and then actually telling what it was just seemed lame to me. From my view it looked like he wanted people to beg him to tell the rumor and he ended up doing it which he probably would have done anyway.

Either way w/e it is Tracy McGrady needs to man up and focus on this season especially if something like this is bothering him. If every NBA player got depressed after they were the ones cheating then the whole NBA with be depressed.

C'mon now, a man can have physical ailments as well as depression or personal problems. It's just that the former can serve as an excuse for the latter: "I feel pain," "I'm not feeling well."

Let's not equate what's allegedly going on now with every time he's ever been out of the game. This will degenerate into a "yeah, and TMac arrives at the arena in his UFO" sort of thread as a means of trashing the original point that TMac's problems at home are what's turning him into a $21,000,000 boondoggle.

So is this meeting supposed to be good for us fans? Should we expect McGrady to start dropping 25 consistently?
