    The Truth Hurts!

He was only stating the obvious. Someone will have to take the extra shots
that are now going to be available and "General Tmac" will once again take the
beast by the horns. As everyone already knows the only two players who have
been playing semi-consitent lately are Head and Wesley. By Tmac saying that
he's going to take the extra shots he's actually taking some of the pressure
off the bricklayers on our team
. Let's face it our Rockets are only going as
far as Tmac will take them.

One guy can carry an entire team, Kobe did it yesterday against the Mavs. One guy just can't do it every game, ask Kobe about the Rox game last Sunday.

I think T-Mac is going to have to put up 30+ points every game for us to be a .500 team during this stretch that Yao is out. I hope Swift comes through as well, if he doesn't we may not get squat for him in a trade.

When we got the largest lead, T-Mac was actually on the bench. He might have done the right thing by throwing out the statement, but I would love to hear he praises his teammates. A great leader has to know how to encourage his colleagues!

Hopefully, T-Mac will did well tonight!

    Without the injuries? Yes.

    With the injuries? No.

People disliked Francis because it seemed like he wanted to be the absolute focus of the team regardless of context. People don't object to it from McGrady because...well, he's shown he can play well with others.

Do you really believe there was some bizarre, irrational bias against Francis? And that we all just arbitrarily adore McGrady? Sorry, man, there are good reasons for both. Francis was an undersized SG who hogged the ball and demanded to play PG. McGrady's a fantastic scorer who shares the ball. So why draw false parallels?

Anyone getting bent out of shape over his comments needs to look at the players that are around him. Swift, Howard, Wesley, Deke, Bowen, Moochie...these guys aren't consistent and the only other somewhat consistent player is a rookie. As long as they can chip in just enough, I don't care if Tmac has to score 40-50 points in order for us to win.

Just as long as we win.

And it's not like he's gonna want to bail like when he was in Orlando. There wasn't a 7'6" center there that was going to definitely come back from injury.

    Tracy lied.

That's what he should have done. But he didn't. He tried to play team ball when the rest of the team sucks.

I don't see why Tracy would make a statement like that, and then do the absolute opposite. Be more selfish, Tracy - the rest of your team sucks.
