This makes a lot of sense and is very true from I've seen of him on TV and the one time I saw him out at a club here in Portland last year. The whole team (almost) was celebrating a victory over the Blazers and all the rest of the players were walking around/partying/by the bar/drinking/being social. Then you had Tmac just chillen in the same position (almost as if he was posing) for a good hour or so by himself blocked off by his security guard ....observing/enjoying the fact that people were starring at him.
Damn I knew it was gonna happen. Yesterday he said he felt worse, today he is saying he feels great. IT IS ALL MENTAL TRACY. But good to hear that
WHAT? Mr. Iwastired in the fourth qrt. Mr. Itsonme and did a disappearing act. I wish this guy would just shut up and play. He has a piss poor attitude that trickles down thru the team. If your the leader on the team and only gives you 70% and disappears in the fourth, what do you think the rest of the team is gonna do? Leaders lead by example, a leader he is not. By comparison, Ron has come in and has given 150% and treated each preseason game as if its the playoffs, btw that also rubs off on the rest. Yes, Mr. Drama Queen. Do us a favor and don't talk, just play. He was right about one thing though, thank god he sent us Ron Artest.
My wife as well. Very slight case of scoliosis and some days she's good, some days she's not. My wife is a dental assistant. She hardly takes the pounding that Tmac does. I'd cut him some slack.
HAHA...So francis phoned in sick a SECOND consecutive day? HAHAHAAHH, is he mcgrady's evil twin or what?
It's almost as if Tmac does this just to screw with everyone clutchfans. Well, hopefully his mood stays up rather than down.
Mild scoliosis? Really? Or is this the same Tmac that said his elbow was fractured? You never know with him whether it is Chicken little, or Johnny truth. DD
The guy is just too honest sometimes. If he'd just say, I am getting better and I am fine every time they asked him, yall would complain that he isn't saying anything. Tmac just says what he's thinking at the moment, be that good bad or inconsistent. Tell me that none of you have bad days and good days, if you were to be followed around and asked about it by the media what would you say? I don't understand why it's such a big deal.
You just can't take some of things McGrady says too seriously. However, if you really reread his quotes from yesterday's article (written by Blinebury), all he said essentially was that he may not be ready by the game opener. And today, he's saying that he's encouraged by progress and hopes to be ready by Thursday. So, based on his words, he isn't exactly contradicting himself. But articles were written by different people, and one had a very pessimistic spin to it and this one has a more optimistic spin to it.
This is another good reason to have the deep lineup that we have. This will come up again throughout the season with whoever is ailing at that particular time. We still have the firepower to win the game. I do expect Tmac and Shane to play in the Boston game because it is a statement game.
if he is the leader of this team then we are Screwed. I would much rather have Yao, Shane, or Artest be the leaders than him.
But don't you think that he has always been a player that says wrong things at the wrong time. What could have possibly changed in 12 hours from "I am not ready to play next week" and if am not ready then I am not playing, to "I am very happy about the PROGRESS and I am playing in 3 days"? There is no writter spin on things it was recorded on camera after the practice.
don't forget that he would claim injuries and then refuse to get the MRI done beacause he is AFRAID it can be worse than what he thinks
No need to rush. I'd prefer T-Mac to take a few games off unless everyone certain he is 100%. This includes coaches, doctors, trainers, himself.
Do doctors actually allow athletes to play with scoliosis? Reading from what people have been saying, scoliosis seems pretty damn serious.
