...and that pretty much tells us all I need to know about this thread and your position.

Wow, I didn't know you couldn't handle being disagreed with.

Believe it or not, it *is* possible to look at possibilities from multiple perspectives. The two of you are arguing about a point from two completely different points of view--that makes a black-and-white "he's wrong and I'm right" solution extremely unlikely. I'm sorry that you can't discern that, and it's equally disappointing when people can't see from the perspectives of others.

At any rate, I'm sorry I jumped in to cut up if it was going to offend you so badly. You should also understand that profanities, lack of patience, irritation, etc. do not strengthen one's argument.

I feel dumber (see what I mean) for having looked to see if there was a legit reason this thread was bumped.

    "Derrrr...he's 5'11-30/32""

    "No, idiot, he's 5'11-12/16""

    "I meant he was 5'11-5/6""

"Yeah, well I meant he was 5'11-3/4""

"I'm the winner because bigtexxx says so."

"No, I'm the winner because you're a big stupid head."

Seriously, please lock this crap. It hurts my head.

It's not possible to look at whether or not he is 6 feet tall or over from differnt angles. Either he's at or above 6-0 or below it. Black, white - simple and empirical.

Oh, and by the way, Jesus hates you. He told me.

You retort by stating only your own perspective and asking how it couldn't be black-and-white. That's called "tunnel vision". Look it up. Do you really need someone to break down the differences, or are you just being difficult because it's an Internet forum and no one can see your face?

I don't have to look up anything. This is clear and simple. I retorted by stating what we were previously arguing about: whether or not Reggie Bush will measure six feet tall or higher. He either will or won't. This is really simple and I don't know why you're having such a hard time with it. There's no nuance, no in-between, no intermediate stage. That's one of the beauties of 'measuables' as such - they can be measured with a degree of precision that other attributes cannot.

Is this the beginnings of an E-challenge? Are you implying that i'm hiding behind my keyboard? Well I can't have that, and I'm not getting any younger - SO - I'll fight you at the New York Sports Club on Wall St near Broadway - preferably between 8-10 pm, any night this week - either marquess of queensbury rules or american muay thai rules - full headgear and pads and gloves, of course - let's try to keep injuries at a minimum. I have some you can borrow and the gym usually has some lying around - but they usually smell bad so be careful.

Ganesh hates you too, by the way.

Hell, no. I merely point out that we are often more terse or less conciliatory on the web than we would be face-to-face. Please don't construe that as a "challenge". If you were somehow able to beat me down, it wouldn't make you any less incorrect on this point.

BTW, you still don't get it.

the beatdown is inconsequential - you very well could beat me down. i'm not much of a fighter by any standard despite some training alas. But I had to defend my e-honor anyway - the act of fighting, even via losing, accomplished that e-goal.

I guess I don't get it. Reggie Bush is either at, above, or below 6 feet tall. That's the focus of the dispute. I don't see the need to complicate it with other factors that are not relevant to his measured height, which is either at above, or below 6 feet tall.

I'm starting to think the only way to kill this thread is to get it moved to D+D or something. Obviously the mods dont want it merged with the other Bush vs. Vince vs. D'Brick "debate."

Not sure why I kept reading the thread, but your recap is sadly accurate.

In the pantheon of limpdick internet bbs arguments, this might be the lamest one I've ever seen

Jesus there are a lot of opinions out there. I believe that it boils down to two questions: 1) When are we going to be competitive? and 2) Who will be the best when we are competitive? It is going to take this team atlest two seasons to get back on track (think 5-11 then 7-9). Our defense is going to have to be overhauled for the 4-3 and we have needs along the o-line and at wr and te. We are not going to be able to address all of these needs in just one offseason. Considering the fact that the average shelf life of a rb is like 7 seasons and we are basically wasting 2 years with Bush. Two years from now, VY will be entering his second season as a starter with a rebuilt d and a yound oline that we'll put together over the next few offseasons. It is just utterly insane to be for Bush considering where the Texans are right now. If I were Bush's agent I would be pulling an Eli to get my guy to the NYJ where he will play with a real team and have all of that media attention.

Sam wins by an 1/8 of an inch.

Makes up for him losing the Boki bet by .1 points.

    :)

"The bet is, if he comes in any lower than 5'11.5 then I lose. 5'11.5 you round up to 6'0. Fair enough?"

    What was the wager?
