Oops. Pressed submit a little early. That link is to the ESPN article.

So what I'm saying is that the ESPN article is bad journalism because it's assuming the worst about McGrady without having any sources to verify it.

Feigen's fault may be taking the words of McGrady too much at face value, but at least you know he's asking questions, not just reading other reporters' articles and making things up.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but so far the only thing we've heard is that tmac returned to houston and that the team said they'll decided what to do next once the team also returns home, right?

Yet Yahoo! decided to put tmac's "story" on the yahoo homepage and they state he "took a leave from the team" and imply it's because he's unhappy with his role....yet the story that's linked too is simply the recap from the Net'sa game that states what i just stated in my first paragraph....

The media sucks, not because i'm defending tmac, but because they confuse sports fans everywhere. The average fan doesnt have the luxury of having a clutchfans to go to.

    Which would be correct.

Whatever happened to being a good team mate and being a cheerleader? So all that support he'd been showing on the bench in the last few games was fake?

if you believed you were doing everything in your power to satisfy the coach and management, being there for the team, cheering on your teammates, not dominating the ball, trying on defense, being civil and under control with the media, accepting your 6 games at 8 minutes a game without complaining, and it became clear that the coach/management had no intention of rewarding that behavior, why would you feel the need to continue?

Maybe if you showed a little more patience and did a little less complaining in the media, you would get those minutes extended.

But alas, that is asking too much, isn't it?

it's hard to show patience after games like tonight, or vs the magic. bottom line, tmac can help the team right now more than ariza can. yeah we got a good record, 18-13 is nothing to sniff at, but in the western conference you really have to fight for every win,2-3 wins could mean the difference between 4th-5th seed and 7th/8th seed. dunno about you but i'd rather not meet lakers in the first round.

But by that logic, wouldn't any player that isn't in the rotation have reason to stop coming to games?

Really? Do you think McGrady has the right to complain after 6 games?, but he did complain. That's why he isn't playing now.

he expressed that he wanted more minutes. i'm pretty sure any player who's playing 8 minutes would want more.

it was already decided that he wasn't going to play. i would have no problems with a player who the coach/management said "we're not going to play him the next 2 games" took a leave to attend their family member's birthday.

Are you kidding me? RA is suppose to be this great coach and he can't find a way to work someone like T-MAC in the lineup? Its not like we have a couple of goto guys. Even so, the Celtics do it just fine.

Hmm let me think for less than second. How about benching brick laying Ariza and him T-MAC his minutes?

Its not correct or incorrect at this point. We dont know. All we know is he left, not why or who's idea it was. We dont know if tmac decided this alone or if it's something the team thought would be best. I keep saying he's damned if he does and damned if he doesnt. If he stays he's a distraction, if he goes he's not a good teammate. We might as well be the same guys who write for Yahoo because that's what they do, they spin it negatively regardles sof what he does to create a good story...or headline i guess because there's no story here.

    where did he complain?

during the interview, he just said that he thinks its time they up his minutes as a response to a question. there's no complaining there.

and now, we have RA telling tmac will be sitting the next two games.

again, it's down to tmac vs ra/dm. tmac wants to play meaningful minutes. RA doesnt want to play him. dm wants to trade him.

any person who believes RA doesnt have anything personal against tmac is delusional. if you're a coach and if you want to put the a team out there with the best chance of winning, how can you not play tmac 15-20mins a game and let ariza play >37mins?

the only probable reason RA caved in and let tmac play was because they needed to showcase him for 7-8mins to see what other teams would offer them. they probably got stupid offers so they needed to stop that experiment because everyone would be expecting that tmac's minutes would be increasing after and RA doesnt want that. so he just came out with an explanation that he didnt like what he saw the six 8min stints of tmac. im sure RA wont be playing tmac anymore and tmac would be benched until a team makes a good offer or tmac publicly requests for a trade.

like ra said before, this isnt going to end well
