If they are not well, don't play. They need to rest as they will play well with flu. Let Snyder get some PT.
I mean they will not play well with flu. Same goes for Yao. Let Deke play so that he can get off some rust.
But then I am not sure they can play well with flu. If they start bricking ,looked tired, lack of focus or looked winded, it's better for them to rest.
I don't know why I read the comments part below the articles on the chron site. There were some that actually said they're faking it. When did the Rockets become enemy #1 in Houston?
The comments sections on chron blogs will provide only aggravation & occasional amusement. They make this board look like the Algonquin Round Table.
I would not play T-Mac against the Warriors unless he is 100%. I´m just tired of excuses, i rather loose with no excuses than ending up with "i was not 100% and the phisical play was too much......" BS
edit: dang my memory is suckin right now...he was back for SA game He made excuses since he's been back? I only remember utah's game as something to rag on him about. Game 1 back - SA - he helped the team win against SA. was obviously hobbling. game 2 back - Seattle - mentioned he was very tight, but helped the team win. game 3 back - seattle - took over to win. game 4 back - portland - helped the team again. game 5 back - Utah - tried to get team involved, then decided to step up his game in the 2nd half when it wasn't working. Which is true, but he failed to mention that he was himself something like 1-8 in the first half. the utah game was the only one where i remember him making any kind of excuses...then again, it's the one game they've lost recently. Tracy has been working in the confines of the system since he's been back until the team needs him to score more. So he does that towards the end of games.
Whatever you want, trusting the system is using it when it matters most, going "it´s on me" mode is not. For what i´ve seen he goes "it´s on me" mode every time we are not winning, without considering if he is having and off night, and without considering that other players are shooting good. I said it once and i will repeat, buying into the system means that he respects the system to the end, not until he wants to go "it´s on me". Is fine for me if he wants some plays for him during stretches, but not on every 4th quarter.
I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago. If these guys feel at all what I felt like, I can totally understand them not playing. I had a 103 degree fever for 4 days, and I felt like my eyes were going pop out of my head. The only thing that cured it was 1000 mg of antibiotics. It's been going around Texas for the last month or so....I guess it finally caught up with these guys. You gotta love the timing though....Yao misses the game against the one team that we need a big, physical force in the middle for, and now T-Mac might miss the game against the one team that we need an athletic forward who can stretch the court. Awesome.
that's why you pay your "superstars" (whether you consider him one or not). And him going into it's on me mode even on a night he started bad, he still scored the majority of the team's points down the stretch. Players taking things into their own hands is what makes the difference between the team we want the Rockets to be and a team like...Philly. And come on man...it's not like he's still not finding people down the stretch to win games. assist to rafer (of all shooters) for a big 3. making a good assist down low to yao, etc. etc.
NO TEAM runs their system down the stretch completely. they go to their go-to guys and run they play their guy does it best. do u see the ball movement for utah down the stretch? it was pick and roll all day. when adelman was with the kings, do u see the princeton offense down the stretch? it was webber and mike bibby/stojakovic pick and pop all day. do u see the lakers running the triangle down the stretch? its kobe all day. the purpose of the offense is to make our stars' job EASIER during games so they have the energy to FINISH games. tmac didn't take a lot of shots in the first half v. utah. mind you, probably he knew he wasn't hot, but it's also he passed a lot to get his teammates involved. the 2nd half, he was ULTRA-aggressive as he took 16 shots. we were close. we had the lead. but the missed layups, PATHETIC fts (esp. from tmac, we were tied and he missed 2 layups for the lead w/ 6 mins to go), and just horrible defense from novak. novak didn't move on one play to cover ak47 under the basket and he was the closest one to him. another play, he was switched onto korver, tmac told him to cover him in the corner and he just stood still near the basket, letting korver have an open shot. that's why they score 13 BASKETS IN A ROW. that's why we lost.
just heard on 610AM that tmac and bonzi are both gonna be out. but i wouldn't put too much on that yet, because it was said by anna megan whatever and she's stupid
