i have a feeling that's what's gonna happen. if his knee can heal itself with time off then i definitely think that we should put him on the ir so he can be strong for a late playoff push. if u put him on ir after right after the wizards game before the all star break, he can get a full two weeks off while missing only 5 games...it would be worth it. however if his knee requires surgery and 6-8 weeks for rehab then it be better to wait untill the end of the season.

Sura is a tremendous warrior. I'm really glad he is a Rocket. Injuries are really catching up with us. I feel the Rockets might try to package the TE with our 1st round pick to get a player now.
I would like to hold on to it and try to see if we can get a useful role player with the TE and our 2nd round pick instead.

I noticed that too. Can you imagine what will happen if/when Yao and Motay figure this out? JVG would start fetching them lunch and washing their cars.

My dad seldom praised me (it kinda bothered me earlier) but as I got older I understood the mentality behind that. I remember one year in high school I finished that year as the best student in my entire grade/class and what I got from my dad was a handshake and congratulations + a little prayer. It was like yeah great job - now there is more work ahead.

Every team needs a junkyard dog.

We have been missing that since Mario left.

In total agreement here...JVG has got to find a way to rest him better during the games, otherwise I feel like T-Mac is gonna breakdown. I almost wish T-Mac wasn't playing in the All-Star game. BTW, love that Deke sig you got there Kaiser Soze...Padgett in that commercial is hilarious too :D

    Arroyo is already gone.

The real question is, can Sura still function when the Playoff time rolls around?

Now, Sura needs to get well. Courage aside, injuries piling on could result the ending of his career.

    How's Ward doing?

I love Bob's toughness. I'm beginning to worry because he's been in and out of surgery many times.

I wish there's more players like Sura on the team. I think he and Jon Barry's fire is important to this team. However, I want him to take a rest and come back later. One Grant Hill is enough to alert the alarm.

Remind anyone of a former Rocket who wore the number 3?

I think Sura should be considered the MVP of this team for the first half of the season. Sure this is now T-Mac's team and Yao is a critical part but the team has really turned around thanks to Sura's play.

As for Sura playing with injuries as an oft injured athlete I know something about that. As it gets older it takes a toll on you. I'm only a few years older than Sura but I remember coming back and playing all the time with nagging knee, shoulders and back injuries. After awhile your body just can't bounce back. Of course I didn't have access to the trainers and medical equipment available to an NBA athelete. So I aplaud his grit but I really hope he knows what he's doing. JVG should evaluate him carefully and ration his playing time if he want's him around for the run to the playoffs and hopefully beyond.

If we could trade Sura for another McGrady...as much as I love Sura, I'd do it and enjoy the championships.
