I'd rather have swift and mccoy vs conroy and another 6ft guard. Anderson is going to show people why he stayed in europe so long.

I would disagree with this. The Rockets are trying to acquire more youth. I don't have a problem with having lots of young guys on our team, because Rick Adelman and staff have always done a good job of developing them. Examples: Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry, Von Wafer, or even Scola since he come to the Rockets as a rookie. The point is that the Rockets are better off with fresh players willing to play the way Adelman wants them to play. David Andersen comes to the Rockets starting from scratch... Adelman is capable integrating him into the team with his skill set. Swift and McCoy just seem like "old dogs that can't learn new tricks".

I would fully support Stro's return. Stro was ridiculously underrated and unrightfully hated on by every Rocket fan it seems. He barely got a chance to play when he was here even though he was far superior to Juwan Howard.

this (although I'd rather actually attempt to WIN games)

NOT this (unlike Stro, Juwan at least knew what the plays were)

The article states that Stromile is bigger than now than he was as a Rocket. If big enough to play the 5 and if he can still block shots, he would bring a dimension that is still missing on the current Rox roster.

Dorsey does not count until I see it in a regular season game.

I'd rather have Pops on the team than Stromile. Pops is hungry, he has the desire. Stromile doesn't give a ****.

I don't think it's that Stro doesn't give a **** but rather that Stro doesn't know apples from oranges on the basketball court. :(

That's a great drill. I wish Rafer gone through these drills. He always had trouble finishing with contact.

Does this mean Scola will stop contorting his body and go in hard for the foul and lay-up?

I would hate to see Yao go through this drill.

I agree, plus I don't think Stromile Swift got a fair shot under JVG horrific offense.....plus its not like their signing him there just inviting him to camp, every one relax :D

You know, with our new supposed fast paced offense, this is exactly the type of offense a player like Stromile can fit perfectly in. Didn't fit well in the half court JVG type offense, but it could work this time. An extra big that can run the floor, finish at the rim and block a few shots doesn't hurt.

So if they're going young as u say, why is andersen who is a 30 yr old rookie on the squad. I'm not saying mccoy or swift is going to set the world on fire, but if there are guys that could fit with adelman, its 2 guys that will run the court and finish like mccoy and swift. They could just be camp bodies for scrimmage and practice
bodies. The contract will be minimal and those guys have low miles.

That's what our Aussie friends were trying to tell us, that Andersen is decent but far from what people were trying to make him out to be.
