agree 100%, which is why i still think rubio will be traded to get us immediate help...as much of a cash cow that yao is, part of the fascination is that he's part of a contender, once that goes out the window and they pretty much put us into rebuilding mode, many fans will lose interest, even yao's.. Plus, that pretty much guarantees Yao won't re-sign with us, so we probably wouldn't even have him.

How do you know Rubio makes this team worse starting at PG than Brooks?

In that case, he helps us win now AND later.

I curious, how many times have you actually watched Rubio play?

    traDe:

tracy mcgrady, aaron brooks and landry for amare stoudamire and leandro barbosa.

then we sign and trade wafer, give them brent barry and someone we picked up this draft and/or a future pick for rubio

we try to get rid of brian cook in one of these trades.

    Re-sign artest.

    so our line-up would be

    Pg rubio/lowry
    Sg Barbosa/artest
    Sf battier/artest/stoudamire
    Pf Scola/Stoudamire/Dorsey
    C Yao/Hayes

Ya gotta put the Amare trade to rest. He isnt coming to Houston. Everyone once and for all should give up. NOt happening. And Wafer, Barry, Budinger/Taylor and/or future first wont net you Rubio. I know other teams got off the hook of giving garbage players away for good talent, but thats almost a laugher deal for Rubio. If you want something potentially good, you gotta give something potentially good back.

I am surprised that Rox didn't get the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th pick this year. Even if it means overpaying a little... I still can't get over myself about the possibility that Morey was too stubborn to his "buy low" agenda...

Rubio is the kind of player that could benefit the team strategically both long term and short term. Personally, I think he is good enough to be the Rockets' backup franchise player, so if Yao leaves Rox next year or start to go downhill in 3-5 years, it won't be the end of day and we still have someone to build on...

They also spoke highly of Patty Mills, but he got absolutely no hype what so ever.

I'd rather move are three players for a pick in the first round next season.

the hype just keeps growing, and this dude will flop even harder.

he'll be a good starter in this league, but the way they hype him up, it's at least all-star or bust.
