I think if you put an exciting product out there then you'll get people into the seats. I'm diehard, but you have to admit after the brickfest of a third quarter, and other than the back to back threes. There really isn't a lot to get excited about.

Last night could be summed up like this: Dribble up the middle. Spread the players around the perimeter. Wait for the shot clock to go down. Pass the ball. Shoot a three. Miss. Let Dallas get the rebound. Let Dallas miss a shot. Run down the court. Blow a layup. Repeat.

Actually it was kind of like that at every game I've been to this season. And I've been to every home game except the Hornets game.

The streak last year was exciting but I think it was more bandwagonners then fans. Playoff victories make more memorable impressions.

And what's with all the defensive 3 second violations this year?

i remember during the 22 streak, my friends and i went to hooters (primarily because we couldn't afford tickets) to watch the game against Boston. It was absolutely PACKED! We couldn't get seated!

Went there again for i think it was game 4 of the playoffs and there was not a soul there. The city completely gave up on the team.

When there was talk about the Rockets maybe making it to the western conference finals during the 22 streak everyone in my graduating class were talking about giving up graduating at TC for the Rockets. Afterwards nobody wanted to give it up.

    Its truly a sickening sight.

    Idea:

Games that are nationally televised should be seated as a first come first serve basis. Get the true fans down low to bring the noise and the energy. If they did that, I'd skip work and camp out at the doors that morning!

The marketing organization are idiots. We all remember last year when we posted up the Jazz, Warriors audience pics where everybody is wearing a certain color and no seats are empty??
The marketing team for the Rockets thought that if they just make the slogan this year as "Get Red", that there will be more fans wearing red which might make the atmosphere more like home. Wrong! Les, i hope your happy with the money that ur getting from all the corporate douchebags who dont give a **** about the game.

There's really nothing that we can do about it, money talks, unfortunately :(

honestly I think the cleveland cavs have the best arena for having a loud crowd. if you look at their lower level it is hard to even spot a single seat! I am so jealous :( they have the perfect floor plan, the seats are practically on the court

i think ticket pricing is to blame, if you want fans you have to allow almost all the fans to come to the game not just the rich ones in the lower bowl. I had seats in 113 row e but i usually get like row 18 and i noticed lower bowl ppl are quiet because there proffesionals but seusly me and my friends were the only ones yelling. and i bet it made our team lose morale when you can clearly see all the club seats empty it wuz ridiculous. They need to do something to wehre that the representatives of season holders call the season holders and ask if there goin to the game or not and if not they should put the tickets for cheap online so that ppl can buy them and the season holders can get some money this way. otherwise ppl just wont come to the games. I mean its dallas our I-45 rivals and it wuz this lame, i hate to imagine how this place looks against the OKC or twolves

Nothing will change. They even employed various pricing for various teams now. As long as the organization is able to sell tickets, they don't care if it belongs to corporate folks and their clients that show up late or not at all. Those tickets are purchased, and that's all that matters. Look at the Texans.

As far as home court advantage, haven't we had outstanding home records lately?

Ya its really pathetic, it just like the club level at the Texans games. They are always empty, thank god they are not on the first level like in Toyota. It was a bad design, makes me miss compaq!

I think every team in the league has late arriving crowds for early tip offs.

You cant expect people to readjust their work schedule to get to on time for basketball game. ESP if they have season tickets...

    Just my thoughts.

The atmosphere has improved dramatically the last couple years IMHO

What happened to fans like at the summit. I hate going to games and yelling at the refs, only for people to turn around and stare at me like I did something wrong.

Then again, I've never been in one of those club seats, they are so ****ing expensive maybe thats why corporate douches buy them.

I have at least half a season of tickets every year. Lower bowl corners around row 15. I see the same crap every year. This year there is this old cracker who has a newspaper and reads the comic strips every single time. Makes me sick. This prick doesnt ever cheer, stand up, or budge at all. I moved down to the front for a preseason game earlier and there was some jack@$$ watching a show on a handheld tv(i didn't know they still make those) the whole time. Our homecourt advantage is just pitiful. The sad part my section isnt even the "corporate" section. The more expensive sideline seats make me wanna scream. Half the people don't even go to the games they get for free from their companies and the ones that do sit there like zombies and leave early anyway. It is a sad sight really.

TC always looks DEAD at the start of games. When they said to GET RED, I don't think they were talking about all the empty seats.

It's not ticket pricing. Check out the prices for similar seats at the Staples Center for any given Lakers game and they're much more expensive, yet people show up and get loud for them.

I don't know about you guys, but I always sneak down into the lower decks. Sure, there's a lot of hardcore fans all the way up in the highest level (400s) but its definitely hard to get into the game when your that high.

    You either...
    1. Sneak during the National Anthem where everyone is standing still and the lights are dim.

    2. Scout out empty seats during the first half and then during the second half, follow a big group thats walking into in the lower sections.

    I went from here

    to here

granted this was a preseason game though.

I never get why corporations give out these tickets when these people don't even enjoy the game. I mean, why don't they just treat them to a hotel or something, where they can just have a drink and chat in a conference room? That's all they do in those suites anyway. Why do they have to do it in a basketball arena?

I would say most of the blame goes to the product we see on the court. Frankly, we don't have an exciting team. We don't have exciting players who throw down ally oops or monster dunks. We have a team that gets ZERO fast break points. We RARELY score within the first 10 seconds of the shot clock, and we NEVER run down the court unless it's because the opposing team is streaking for a fast break. Did I mention the standard 9 minute long offensive drought we experience every game? Yet the question is still asked why noone shows up to watch the game. Hell, I bet opposing teams dread to play us, not because we're good, but because we're so boring of a team. I know I would.

If you guys feel so strongly about it, go buy season tickets to those courtside seats. Aren't they something like 2K a game?
