I wish Kirk the best. I hope he has success if he gets traded, unless he plays us of course :)

he is probably getting traded for a TE.

if the new team can't use him then the rox might have to throw in cash to cover the remainder of his contract or future a second rounder.

I can't blame him. He can't crack the rotation.

If you wanna get on the court then play better. Rick clearly gives players a chance to show what they have. Snyder had his chances to make an impression this year and in practice (similar to Landry) and it didn’t happen.

You can only get a trade exception by sending a player(s) to an under the cap team without using the assigned player exception. IOW, they take in more salary than you take back. As near as I can tell, the Hawks, Bobcats and Grizzlies are the only under the cap teams.

Once received, TE's can't be combined with other exceptions in a subsequent trade, so a $2.4m TE for Snyder is not very significant. Especially under the guidance of "Trader" Daryl. ;)

If a TE Owner Alexander would be ecstatic as it would, I think, knock him from lux taxland (or, at the least, knock @4.5 mil from costs). But, a TE can also be 'received' as a result of trading, for example, 10 mil contract(s) for 7.5mil.

I think GMs do talk to agents about their players.

i meant trading snyder to a team who has a TE large enough to absorb his contract. basically trading him for thier TE.

after checking around the league for teams who have such a TE, there are a few, only the sonics would make sense as far as being able to provide PT for kirk. plus they aren't in direct competition with us like the mavs or warriors.

the bobcats would also be a good landing spot for kirk.

Agreed. But he was very effective last year when JVG put him on Wade. Too bad Adelman didn't think of that when we played the Heat last time.

Snyder for 2nd round pick would be the most logical option.

I'll kinda miss him, he's player that you don't see very often.

Kinda reminds me the way he talks and looks on LeBron James.

I believe Kirk never got his real chance to play, but on roster that has Mike James, Bonzi Wells, Steve Francis, Luther Head, Rafer Alston, Shane Battier and even Steve Novak, Kirk has no playing time, so I understand him.

Memphis before its done will have an entire team of nothing but expiring contracts, except for Rudy Gay and Mike Conley.

Remembering Snyder he was a good player for Jerry Sloan and the Jazz. Sura didn't much care for him though. Seems he made a few amends since coming to the Rockets.

    long long time ago...

Utah's Kirk Snyder said he was wrong to talk smack in front of Houston's bench during Utah's 99-85 loss to the Rockets on Monday. But was it the first time? No, according to Houston guard Bob Sura.

After the game, Sura claimed Snyder used a racist comment in the February contest, which Utah won 99-92.

"It was a bush-league play. You don't do that stuff in this league," Sura said of Snyder's actions on Monday. "Our last game, he made a racist comment to one of our players. I'm not a fan."

Told of Sura's comments, Snyder denied making any such comment.

maybe the Suns could use him, even though the rox are not going to get anything too great.

Actually a trade of Synder and Mike James for MIke MIller would all that is needed cap wise and CBA wise.

I dont know if the Grizzlies would do it, but I know the Rockets would.
