I agree with all you've said except for the part where you insult Texans. How do your insults help prove a point? Let your argument stand on its own merits. Right now you're just likely to spark a flame war and derail the discussion.

Thanks of r the input, Glen's mom. Now...

What about Tmo? He was playing pretty good, earlier. Now - Gonzo. In Bokiville. I wouldn't mind him playing some. GR is history. He won't be here next year - play the other guys now. Try a defense help lineup with Steve, Hawk and Tmo going with Taylor and Yao up front. Tmo is long and can board. I like him helping at the 3. Keep him. His shot was better than Posey's, anyway. Much improved from last year. And he's bigger.

Tell me I was misreading the box score. Taylor got ELEVEN rebounds?!?

I'll say it again, I really think he should be in the starting lineup.

The title of the thread would be better if it read.

"Poor finish has Les thinking about changes"

Then we might see some forceful coaching.

At this point in the season...guessing should no longer be an aspect. We should know what to do! Pheonix knows what they should do. Lakers... they know it. Heck, even Golden State knows their plan. Should I go on? This is not the pre-season. Why are we looking for our game plan? RUDY-READ-THIS: Teach the Rockets how to put the rock in the basket. Shooting drills all practice long! Come on. Stop 'buildingl'.Start 'teaching how to think on the court'.

You're welcome. I guess the truth hurts.

I/we may be an idiot(s) but I/we know how to operate a video tape and read a boxscore. Got any idea whose board you'll be trolling next season when the Rockets unload his contract to some team seeking cap space in 2004?

Looks like the shooting drills with the "never played ball outside of the Y" boys isn't working.

ming and cato together will be a good idea. Ming is totally overrated. A key figure is someone who can stand up to the challenge when evryone else failed. He is someone who roars: pass me the ball even when he is double teamed and still converts it! Ming is too soft with his passive chinese attitute. He may have the skills and the awareness of the team work, but without a lion heart, you will never be a key figure.

Uh, yeah, I guess you've never watched a game. The last Lakers game, Kobe dunked near Yao and the next trip down the court, Yao threw down a big slam. Same thing happened last night with Ben Wallace.

At this point it may be more damaging to Griff's confidence to leave him in to flounder. His shots from 15' and out have progressively gotten flatter as the season has worn on. It's obvious, he's pressing.

Mo and Yao seem to be the only ones responding to the sense of urgency surrounding the Rockets tailspin.

Mo pulled down 11 boards in 26 minutes last night hopefully in response to one of the two big negatives on his scouting report.

Drastic times call for drastic measures. With the play of the Suns, Warriors and Sonics as of late, if this team wants to make a serious run at the playoffs, here's my suggestion:

    -Start Mo at the 4

-Cato's number 2 on the depth chart at the 4 and at the 5. Cato on the floor with a mandate to do nothing but rebound, play D and finish lob dunks will make up for the potential liabilities increased minutes for Mo brings. I'm not sure why we haven't seen Cato and Yao on the floor together. Cato played well when matched up against Duncan on Sunday. I can't imagine him being a defensive liability at the 4.

-Increase Yao's minutes (38 last night, a step in the right direction Rudy) as a result of decreased minutes for Cato at the 5.

-Collier comes off of IR to spell Yao/Cato at the 5 for 6 or 7 minutes a game due to Cato's increased minutes at the 4.

-Griffin plays limited minutes as 3 on the depth chart at the 4, minutes increase as confidence/intensity returns

-Expect no offense from the 3 spot. We're now starting 4 scorers with SF, Cat, Mo and Yao.

-Posey continues to start at the 3 but is on a very short leash. Hawkins moves to 2 on the depth chart. Rice is relegated to 3 point specialist and plays very limited minutes.

    Just my take.

Never underestimate the shortsightedness of a champion (8 years removed)

I was suprised to see that Taylor moves he feet very well when defending (Det). He took the quick short steps that kept him from over committing.

Is the two our problem? At least recently, it seems to be a strength.

it pisses me off to know that we traded three players for eddie griffin!! look at jefferson in nj. he is playing damn good a hell of alot better then eddie is playing. he hasn't showed me that he can be a star in this league. a star? yea right. the only thing that he has showed me is that he is inconsistant. thats our biggest problem now is inconsistancy. not to mention the trade for posey. i didnt like that trade from the begining. kenny was way more aggressive at taking the ball to the hoop. he had damn good foot work and he played hard. i dont think he fits in with our team. he cant shoot or play defense. he's just taking up room. mo t should start and iv'e thought that early in the season. i don't know why it has taken this much damage to our record to figure this out. i think next yr we should trade glenn cause face it he's not the player that he used to be and get rid of terrence morris for a 4. i even say screw it and make a blockbuster trade to send eddie somewhere for a big man. bottom line trade glenn, eddie, terrence. do you know what we could get out of eddie and glenn? just think we could have gotten abdir-raheem from the hawks. DAMN THAT PISSES ME OFF!!!!

    my starting 5

    1. franchise
    2. the cat
    3. hawkins (for now)
    4. mo
    5. ming

I like that starting lineup. That is the ideal lineup. Francis is Francis. Mobley is an instant offense. Hawkins' great defense would challenge the opposing small forward to force bad shots or force turnovers. Maurice has given us mo offense off the bench and remeber two years ago he would score 10-12 points in the first quarter, which would jumpstart the Rockets' offense. Yao Ming... Yao Ming... Yao Ming... Yao Ming.........Yao Ming.

i don't know why they are trying to groom EG at a position is not comfortable in. EG had all his success last year in the small forward position. Also, when taylor came to the Rockets, he always started off hot, so why not start him. Rudy's the problem with this team. he's too afraid of whether the team is going to like him or not. his job is to find the chemistry that works, and he's just not doing it.
