I heard on the radio that the Rockets, Les, Rudy and Dawson will have their end of the season press conference sometime today. Maybe more will come out of that.

Considering that Rudy and Les have already talked about what their plans are for the summer and next year, I do believe you're making something out of nothing.

Though the use of the word Intent is not way off, INTEND would have been more appropriate. I did not read anything in this report in line with "Intent" or "purpose" of his coming back.

That said, I will not get too high on Rudy's words - words are cheap. I am happy he is doing well and that he has divorced Caffeine and other "poisons" but that will not distract me from fact - the fact that suffered from "teaching" and leadership problems this past season and maybe beyond.

Call me cynical but I this point, I would prefer actions (from Les, Rudy or whoever) than rally speaches or words.

Let me use this opportunity also to wish Rudy well (and success) as he completes his treatment next month.

So, Rudy couldn't bear to watch his team either.

Rudy can come back as an assitant to a real coach, like Van Chancellor.

Rudy has never been head coach material and it's a shame he's had to prove it. Don't you remember when Don Chaney got fired they wanted CD? CD had health concerns and he pointed the finger at Rudy. CD really ran the show for the champ years and Rudy was the puppet cheerleader/tape editor. CD was Hakeem's personal coach and everything went through Hakeem. When CD went upstairs - Rockets sucked.

Rudy can break tape all he wants but he should never get another head coaching job. Dude was promoted to his level of imcompetence, and needs to move back down to his proper talent.

Clearly he no longer has the drive that he once had, and it is time for him to move on...

screw you guys. You all say that you're Rox fans and you berate the one guy that has been the Rox since before they came to this damn city. NBA head coaching is not for what most of you consider a coach. College caoches are there to teach players how to play, NBA coaches are there to impart their knowledge of the NBA game (ie not college, european, or chinese ball). Rudy is as good of a guy for this team as any, and I for one applaud his zest to get on with building a team you guys can start to like. Go Rudy!!!!!!!!!

Good point. Frankly I believe RT is putting LA in a tight spot. If I were LA I'd be PO'ed.

We may need college coaches because some of our players still don't have a good grasp of all the fundamentals. See Steve Francis and Eddie Griffin for examples...
